Our little 12 year old cat is unfortunately paralyzed from the back legs and tail. She no longer has control over urination or defecation. These diapers do a very good job and will allow us to keep her with us longer.

Maybe these work well, I don't know. What I do know is that I tried multiple ways to getthis on my cat who was spraying everywhere (botched neutering left him with a hidden testicle) and all I ended up with was a couple of shirts that look totally cool because they're ripped to shreds. Maybe if you didn't have to thread the tail through that tight hole I could have done it, but if your cat is like mine good flipping luck getting it on.

My beautiful boy wore these in his final days when he became incontinent. They were able to cover a large portion of his groin area to catch a lot of urine. The tail opening can be made larger to accommodate different tail sizes. These also had a leg gussets to catch fecal matter.I appreciate products like these that made my cats final days easier on both him and myself.

I really like the design of this diaper, especially the adjustable tail hole so there isn’t a gap around my cat’s tail when it’s on. HINT: Don’t expect the tail hole to fit out of the box. It’s made small - I’m sure on purpose - so use a pair of scissors to increase the size of the ‘X’ before you try it on your cat.I’m taking a star off my review though because the sizing chart doesn’t mention the total length of the diaper - the distance from one end to the other. According to the size chart, a Small should have fit my cat based on his waist - but it wasn’t long enough end to end. So I had to reorder to get Medium. And, there’s a VERY big difference between Small and Medium. Small is 14” length, but Medium is 18” (pictured here side by side). So Medium is what I need so it will reach my cat’s waist, though it means there’s extra bagginess width-wise between his legs when it’s on. Not a dealbreaker, I’ll take it in a heartbeat over him leaking everywhere.I suspect some other reviews that the diaper falls off is because it’s not put on properly. If the diaper is falling off: -make sure you’re using the right size. -it must be tucked all the way around the front of your cat’s haunch. See second picture, it has to be tucked into that narrow point inside the back leg. -once it’s all the way around the haunch, double-check the tabs are pulled tightly enough, if it’s too loose it will still fall off. On my cat the tabs almost touch on his back, to get it tight enough.

These work well on my 21 1/2 year old male cat. He fits perfectly in the size small and I did not need to cut the tail hole any larger, if I did, poop would come out. You have to make sure that they fit snuggly around and in front of the back legs. He doesn’t like his tail being pushed through the hole but, to my relief, he puts up with it. I was getting frustrated with him peeing all around the house. I had placed puppy pads almost everywhere but he would pee next to them. Sure wish these diapers weren’t so expensive, that they came in packages of 50 or even 100, and that they had a more pleasant smell.

After buying the Hartz diapers and having poop and pee leaks everywhere, I decided to try these. The tail hole is so small that you have to pull the tail through, and that is the key to preventing leaks. No leaks in these! Bought the XS size for my 5 lb female cat.

This particular one we got in the green had a very thick plastic material circle around the tail hole with a crisscross cut in it that made it difficult to put on and no doubt was uncomfortable for Kitty. The orange version that we have been buying since has just the tail hole, no plastic circle. That tailhole might be a little bit on the big side and allow something to leak but it's still better than the thick plastic on these green ones. These are great diapers for our cat that cannot be neutered and who does like to spray from time to time so just pay attention to whether or not what you are buying has the plastic material around the cat hole which you can see as a circle in the picture, and avoid that particular "model". It seemed before that that was the difference between the green and the orange and we have only been buying orange. I've noticed the pictures show the green without the plastic circle now so we may try the green again just to switch up the colors for variety. :-)

My cat was old and end of life, and had diarrhea, I got this to avoid her making a mess all over the house. From that aspect it worked. But changing the diaper was just pure torture and a complete disaster. Poop was getting all over my cats tail, bum, legs, just everywhere. And no matter how I tried to clean it off of her with wet napkins, she would be wiggling and moving soo much that it would just get the poop even to more places. I eventually had to literally wash her with water, which was just pure torture to her and a horrible painful, heart breaking experience for all of us. I’ll be forever traumatized by my cat’s pain. Sucks getting old, it’s worst for pets :(

Ordered this brand to try after using the slightly more expensive Hartz diapers. My cat measures about 10-11" on the waist and ~7 lbs. With the Hartz diapers, I had ordered size small, which their chart shows fits 10-13.5" waist, 7-11 lbs. Assuming they would be relatively close in fit, I ordered the small for the PetSoft diapers, which are supposed to fit 9-16" and 6-13 lbs. I definitely should have opted for the XS (8-12" waist, 4-8 lbs), as she was swimming in the Small size.We found these diapers very difficult to get on the cat. First, the foam tail hole is SMALL, like it would barely fit a shaved cat's tail -- even ripping the foam a little bit so as to not cause discomfort with her fur as we tried to get it over her tail, it was difficult to get it on her tail. Additionally, the dimensions of the diaper were a bit off, maybe better for a dog than a cat? Really had problems trying to get the bottom part of the diaper to wrap easily around her belly and pull the straps up comfortably around the front of her legs so they could be connected to the back of the diaper, and the stomach area was pretty baggy. Also, the straps did not secure as firmly to the diaper as the Hartz diaper. So a poor fit all around, not easy to get on the cat, and then when she was wandering around the house, the diaper came off - when we found the diaper, one of the straps was loose, and she had already worn the diaper all night, so we're not sure if she managed to pull a strap loose on her own, or if it had easily snagged against something first.Plus points of the diaper: material is very soft. And it was extremely absorbant, so there was no leakage. But the poor sizing of the diaper and the difficulty with getting it to fit properly do not compensate for its absorbant qualities.Going back to Hartz diapers.
