My old International 444 tractor was always needing the points adjusted, condenser replaced etc.Always difficult to start. Apparently a common issue in these.Took less then 1 hour to install the Pertronix and the tractor started instantly.And starts the same every day since then-barely turn the key.Wish Id bought this unit 10 years ago

We bought this to install in our British made 1972 International Harvester 444 tractor. We were fed up with constant issues with the points and condenser, causing the engine to run rough or not at all on occasion. This product has worked better than expected, and when installed with a new coil eliminated any spark related problems we had been having.Installation was straightforward, the new sensor fits perfectly in the distributor. The only issue was that with the magnet sleeve installed, the rotor would not seat far enough down to put the distributor cap back on. This required sanding the bottom of the rotor down slightly, but was not difficult. There is plenty of wire to reach the coil. You do have to cut and crimp the wire to length, heat shrink tubing may be a good idea over the connectors.Overall, this is an excellent, easy to use product that has brought a lot of life back to our machine.
