I tried the Loctite adhesive to reattach my rear view mirror and it didn't work so I decided to give Permatex a try. I followed the instructions exactly and waited 24 hours to let it cure before installing the mirror. Presto, It worked perfectly!

Easy to use but is not “extreme” when it came to strength . I used this for a 5 panel mirror and I waited 30 mins like the instructions said to but the metal tab just fell off the glass once I put the 5 panel on. Did it again waited a couple hours and still same results but a little stronger . Cleaned it all off and did it one last time before the activator and glue was gone and waited over night and yet again not strong enough . It works just not as “extreme strength” as it claims

Used on my wife's rear view mirror when it decided to stop being mounted to the windshield thanks to the Texas summers. Durability seems good but it seems like a little steep pricing for a one time use amount. Instructions were straightforward easy to use. Dried quickly with no install mess but I still did not mount the mirror right away I let the mount cure overnight just as an extra precaution. Has held up great and I will update if there's any changes in results later.

Rearview mirror fell off many years ago, used this product to reattach. It held up over the years thru the warm and cold cycles. Just fell off a couple days ago, and reordered product.Simple instructions, strong adhesive, ease of use.

Follow the directions to the letter! I had a previous Permatex product that included everything you need - the activator, glue, alcohol cleaning wipe, and sandpaper - to sand the windshield - important. My previous use of this product lasted about 2 years, and the instructions w/ this kit now noted that the glueing could fail if done in a hot car. So, I did the gluing this time, on a cool morning, and waited a full 24 hours before mounting the mirror onto the METAL button. I believe this product also said it's for METAL buttons, and not plastic ones - which I've never come across. I think glueing a button onto the sloping glass must be one of the more difficult surfaces to attach to. They give you enough glue for multiple attempts, but not enough activator for several tries, as the activator is in a pouch you tear open, and it dries, not a little bottle, like the glue.

Following the manual and waiting for dry periods of eqch steps, the outcome is great. My mirror in a Chevy Astro van is heavy. The weather....well..Dubai! 42C normally.So...the challenge is on.As the first day,I can say it is snug. After few moments of putting the metal button with the mirror on,I couldn t move it anymore.Left for overnight with some tape on it to release the weight a bit.Today I tested.Boy....it s not going to come off easily.

Came within two days. Read the directions, scraped the old glue off the windshield with a razor. Circled the area outside the glass then applied the cleaner to the inside and the piece that glues to the glass. Opened the glue but the glue would not come out easily. So I kept dabbing the cap back on then putting a small amount onto the metal until it equaled a drop. Stuck it to the glass and it worked. Then I took the glue and squeezed it hard and a nice drop came out. So the only advice I could give is squeeze the tube hard enough to get the glue out.I then waited at least an hour and reinstalled the mirror. It seems to work and would recommend/purchase again.Amazon stands behind everything they offer and if anything went wrong I sure they would help. If it came opened or something was wrong with the glue dispenser, I think Amazon would send another. Some people just like to complain about anything. The product worked as described and at a great price therefore a rating of at least a 4 is deserved. I give it a five.

I tried to edit my previous poor review but for some reason my most recent reviews don't come up in my Amazon account. The seller has resolved my issue to my satisfaction. I will attempt to edit/delete my previous poor review. If you see my poor review, this one supersedes it.
