Your cart is empty.Permatex Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant is a general-purpose, black RTV indoor/outdoor sealant. Effectively bonds, repairs, seals, mends and secures glass, metal, plastics, fabric, vinyl, weather stripping and vinyl tops. Also protects and repairs electrical wiring and may be applied to horizontal or vertical surfaces. Waterproof and flexible with a temperature range of -75 degrees Fahrenheit to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, this sealant is oil, water, weather, vibration and grease resistant. Suggested applications include windshields, door frames, electrical connections, seams and roofs, vinyl tops, and weather stripping.

Used to re-attach silicone deck mat and enhance IP rating on a Teverun Blade GT+2 electric scooter. Perfect size tube for tight areas and smaller volume of application. Great product as always. Never used any other brand, never had a reason to.Across the board for all their various formulas Permatex has always been my goto.Just wish it had a little cap on this style pack, by no means a deal breaker though.

Great stuff if you are experienced with adhesive silicones and prepared to work quickly. This is sticky , thick and sets fast.Be ready with gloves, wet rags or towels and prep good.This is as good as 3m 4200 and sticky like 5200 but less permanent if ever want to remove.. love dark black color too.I used to fix leaks on my black jeep components and roof rack.Reviewed: 3-15 -24 ..I still recommend this product but unfortunately the second time I purchased it, I went to use and like other reviews , it's chunky or clogged . Be sure to make decent size hole in nozzle and run nail or something down inside tube to loosen silicone and get flowing best . You'll also know if tube is good or defective or has started to set up before you even receive it.It's not Amazon fault .. probably storage temps or at factory it passed or was missed in QC ... ( This stuff is still my favorite for sealing and adhesive silicone) If you are experienced with using it ...Have plenty of warm water and clean towels or shop rags handy....Thanks ..

I had tried EVERYTHING to attach some metal (pewter) pieces to my dashboard and nothing would work. I cleaned it and removed all the oils and off gassing with alcohol, multiple times. I tried heavy duty mounting adhesive strips, 3M dashboard double-sided adhesive stickers, Quake Hold... None of it would stick to my dash board at all! Finally I found this stuff and decided to give it a try. SUCCESS! All 3 pieces are very well adhered and the product was easy and quick to use, just had to let it sit after applying so it could cure. Love that it's black too. Blends right in. Finally got it!

If you have never used this product, you are missing out on one of the great designed and effective products ever. I'm using the tube to seal of the small plugs around a cargo carrier on the roof of my SUV.Works great and happy with this. Each to use and apply and really seals well.

I think pretty much all of this RTV sealant stuff is messy. Silicone compounds dissolve in almost nothing, so don’t expect alcohol or acetone to get it off your hands. Best thing to do is use a paper towel to wipe off as much as you can from your hands or anything else you don’t want it on, then use that auto mechanics pumice hand cleaner stuff to scrub the rest off it off (it won’t dissolve it but the pumice will scrub the rest off).But this particular product or batch of the product seems unusually difficult to squeeze out of the tube. If this is normal then it should come in a different container like a syringe type thing rather than a tube. I had to use one of those chubby kids pencils as a roller to roll up the end and add leverage to my hand to squeeze it.Otherwise it seems to be fine but note that it isn’t recommended for gasket replacement or car windshield sealing because there are specialized formulas for those conditions.
