I received a couple of beautiful rose shaped silicone molds from overseas that had about a 1/3" split on each in the same exact place on the thin edge of the opening, which would have not have lasted the first demolding. I used Permatex 80050 Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant to bond the split on both and the molds were repaired, perfect and ready to pour in 24 hours! I stretched the daylights out of both, just as I would when demoulding a casting, and they didn't budge. 10/10 for doing exactly what it says it will!!!!

This product applies easily and dries clear. It provides a waterproof seal with no leaks. I used it on several projects around the house; both indoor and outdoor. I recommend this product.

Limited only by your imagination in what to repair with the product. It applies easily and cleaning your fingers, if done promptly, is a breeze. It adheres to cloth, rubber, and man-made substances equally well. As long as you don't expect the product to last forever, and reapplying to extend the life of your mended spot, then all is well. From shoes, hot tub covers, pants and auto trim it seems to be a helpful repair product.
