This non-corrosive gasketing material is ideal for on-the-spot and emergency repairs, or when a conventional gasket is unavailable. Fills gaps up to .015 inches and cures to a solvent-resistant seal that will not tear or decay during service. Parts disassemble easily even after extended service and old gasket material can be removed in minutes with a simple putty knife. Suggested applications include water pumps, thermostat housings, transmission pans, transmission case covers, transaxle casings, and o-ring replacement.

Regasketing a mower gear housing can be challenging. After filling the lower half of aluminum housing with fluid it was easy to form the gasket and assemble the top half. The gasket sealed perfectly with no leaks.

Before you buy, it’s anaerobic. Please look up meaning. The video is funny cuz the dude has no idea.It has to have no air. So under the piece needing sealed it works great. And extra that pops out in the “Air” will not dry. 😂This works great. I’ve used it forever.

Used for side engine cover. I just made a small hole to squeeze onto the cover face. Man, this stuff is very hard to squeeze out! Have to keep working at it. Good thing there is no time restraints to get parts bolted quickly. In fact, you need to wait 1-2 minutes before assembly of parts. I laid about a 1/8 bead. When I bolted the cover on, I had gasket maker squeezing out at surface faces all the way around. So should have a good seal.Used hardly any of the tube, so it should be good for a large project or many projects. Would use again.

This stuff is awesome, I wish more people knew about it and used it. It is magic. It avoids oil passageway clogs which cause oil starvation and failures of some components. I have a relatively old Subaru with 214,000 miles on her and used this stuff on the oil separator plate while changing the clutch. The sealant sets up harder than RTV types. The package instructions insist on using an activator spray, or surface prep spray, but this is not necessary at all. A lot of people call permatex asking about that. The activator spray is needed when you are sealing porous surfaces. If you are substituting anaerobic sealant for super gray rtv or whatever, and the sealant will be squeezed between two machined surfaces where it will be starved of oxygen, the sealant will set up just fine in about 24 hrs ish, dont quote me there. I am currently planning to use it in a somewhat unusual application where nearly everyone else in the world uses super gray.
