It was a pack of Perler Beads. They were the right color and packaged well. I only buy from Amazon if it's less than $3 because you can often get the same pack around that price at other stores.

We used these Perler beads with pegboards for a birthday party craft. The kids made minecraft shapes using patterns I found online.

Got these for summer camp because the kids were RAVENOUS when it came to Perler beads. They had two tubs of 12,000 but managed to use up every single black bead in no time at all. When I brought this in, they loved not needing to sort through hundreds of other colors to find what they needed. These beads melted really well and I had no issues with the quality. Considering these are Perler brand, I expect nothing less.

I read some of the reviews before purchasing these beads and many has stated how small the bucket was. Its definitely not huge - but these beads are tiny, and there are tons in the bucket. You have no idea how many perler beads 6000 is until your kids spill them onto the floor lol. This set is great. It came with several boards in various shapes to create cool perler bead creations. I was a little disappointed with the tiny sheet of heat paper that you put between the iron and the beads, but its just parchment paper and you can buy a huge roll for under $5. Don't make the mistake I did and try to use wax paper in a pinch lol, its not a good outcome. We have had this bucket of beads for at least 5 months and they are only halfway gone. If you went crazy and made a bunch of projects, they woildnt last that long, I suspect. But for 4 kids making several designs at a sitting multiple times, this will last quite awhile. I highly recommend this specific set for a "starter set" its got a great variety of color beads and the boards that are included cover all the basic shapes you could want.

I've loved perler beads since I was a kid. I'm 30 now and still enjoy crafting with them. I bought this Perler bead bucket for my 6 year old niece to craft with over the summer vacation from school. This purchase was one of the best I could have made. She spent hours nearly every day of summer vacation making different things with perler beads. This is a great bucket to start with if you have never used perler beads before. You get about 6,000 beads (I say about because I didn't count exactly how many are in the bucket but it is advertised as 6,000) in about 30 different colors. It also comes with 5 small pegboards (A star, heart, circle, square and hexagon), 2 sheets of ironing paper and full instructions on how to fuse the beads. You will need an iron to fuse the beads. While there are 6,000 beads in the bucket I recommend buying an individual bag of white () and black () since we ran out of those colors well before we ran out of any others. If your creativity runs dry you can find patterns on perler.com or with a quick google search. My niece actually made a very cute trinket box out of perler beads from a pattern we found in a google search. My niece has been such a fan of perler beads that we've had to replenish our beads several times and she has made everything from cartoon characters to christmas ornaments. This is the perfect activity for rainy days and breaks from school.

These fuse beads have been a great hit with the older children in my daycare as well as my own 2 sons who are slightly older. They are quite fiddly so need a lot of patience and coordination. Some children needed to take a break and continue later, but were very proud of their final results. The bucket comes with 6000 mixed color beads. I'm assuming it's 6000 because that's what the label says - I didn't actually count them!We have had creations been made every day this week. Most of the children filled out the shapes that came with the kit, but some started getting more creative, making up their own shapes and creations using the shape boards that come with it. It's easy to fuse the beads together. You just iron over the beads putting the paper that comes with the kit between the iron and the beads. I iron the one side, and when I see they are sticking together, I take the creation off the shape board, turn it over, and put the paper on top and iron it again. I iron them on a wooden bread board as I don't want to have an ironing board out all day to iron their creations. By ironing on both sides, it melts the beads together on both sides and we like how it looks. The beads are hot after ironing so I have to push the paper off with the shape board.
