Using these brackets makes DIY projects for building outdoor spaces tons easier than they would ordinarily be. The brackets tie into the roof very easily. They're adjustable so I can maneuver the wood to the angle I need. The material is durable, heavy metal. The three brackets included have all the hardware needed for installation.

These are really high quality brackets, three to a pack, for making a pergola type patio roof with a 4x4 piece of lumber. While we've used, recently, other adjustable angle brackets, this one had the nicest adjustment mechanism. They are solidly built, and easy to work with. I would definitely suggest these, especially if you think you'll have to dial in a specific angle.

Adjustable angle to keep the lintel vertical when mounted to a sloped roof.Standard 4" x 4" post material actually measures 3.5" x 3.5" which matches the measurement of this hardware set.You can attach the wood to bracket with either a 4-1/2 inch x 1/4 inch carriage bolt (3/8" holes), and/or with 2-1/2 to 3 inch decking screws (1/4" holes).

The way these are packed I'm not sure they would be damaged if run over by a truck.These are great quality with great looking powder coating.Full welds all around. Nice heavy gauge.The adjusting and mounting bolts are flawless and heavy duty.Great product. Great value.

Im a carpenter by trade, i specialize in building decks, pergolas and patio covers. And every one of them start with a great base. The footings are one of the most important parts of the build! Ive used Simpson for years and recently wanted to branch out and try some cheaper alternatives and these far exceeded my expectations! I haven't tested them in a laboratory to determine the tensile strength of them. But after 10 years of installing Post Bases I can tell these are heavy-duty and will hold up for years!

So I need to purchase 3 more adjustable brackets in order to build a pergola off of my porch but I would recommend these brackets over the ones that only have one bolt to tighten in order to hold the angle you want. These brackets have 2 bolts that help hold the angle off of your roof or porch etc.... Also a little tip if you want further support just stick a piece of wood or steel in the space to make sure the bracket doesn't move at the angle you want.

I will be using these on the lower (back) side of the roof on one of my Pergolas (I have 2 Pergolas).I have something similar to these I'm using on the front because they are longer and also SS.Speaking of stainless steel, the fact that these are SS (like every bracket I have ever used on both Pergolas) is a real bonus. These do come with SS mounting hardware and a pair of drill bits. I strongly suggest using the drill bits rather than risk splitting the wood putting the screws in without there already having holes there for them. The bits are slightly smaller than the screws so you will get a nice secure attachment.While they make no mention of what grade SS they are using or what the black coating is, I find these to be very well made. Fit, finish and construction are nearly perfect. The steel is quite thick and it is quite unlikely they will ever fail on me. That's a good thing. I don't like having to do things twice.Worth it? I think so. They are a little more expensive than some others but SS isn't cheap. I like these.
