A bit of flashlight work, to be able to see them push through the rubber gasket feed your wire fish through hook onto the wire you want to pull and pull back. Pull a little extra then remove the tool.

Easy to lose. I wish is a fluorescent yellow. If you keep the edges sharp it goes any rubber grommet. I wiish they made these 16" long.

This tool was a huge time, saving for me. I was trying to go through a firewall in my Honda pilot. I was able to do it with the tool through a grommet. The tool itself seemed a little cheap, but it did the job.

This tool helped me get a amp power wire through my fender firewall that would have been impossible without it. Worth every dollar I paid for it. Tip: so u do t get stuck for an hour like I did..if u have to get wire to come through the front part of the tool for where u stabbed it, just use another speaker wire or any wire and tape it to the wire ur trying to fish

Life saver. I installed a light bar on my suv. The grommet on the firewall to get a cable going from the engine bay to the cabin was very thick rubber, double wall. The cabling for the car was very close and I was not comfortable to use a knife or razor blade to cut the rubber and make a hole. This tool was amazing for the job. Ive put little bit of wd40 on both side of the grommer, punched the grommet on the side to avoid the cabling already there and use a 14-2 electric groung cable to reach the engine bay from the cabin. I then removed the tool, tape the cable on the ground cable and pull the cable into the cabin. A really well spend money on a tool and much less time and stress to get the job done

This is a must have if you need to run things through a firewall gasket. Might not last in a high duty cycle commercial or industrial setting as it is fairly lightly built, however it's just a sharp pointed tube attached to a handle that you poke through a gasket. It's probably your own damn fault if you break it.
