I’m using this on a Rhino 450. So far it works great. After changing several parts, I concluded that the ECU was the issue and the price difference between OEM and this was quite big. I’m satisfied with it. Will see how long it lasts.

2004 yamaha rhino - after 3 after market cheaper CDI boxes failed to work correctly this part performed flawless. If you like me are struggling to choose which replacement to select dont hesitate to buy this one.A+

Seems to work pretty good all lights on shift functions, slowed, light neutral, and gear changes, sometimes other than that works good

Installed on 06 Rhino 660. It does give you more rpm but now I have a lean miss at cruising with no load on engine. I’ll probably go back to stock box

I stuck this on my 2004 Rhino 660 and wish I would have done it way sooner. Woke up a sleepy machine. Went from 37 mph to 49 mph. Runs way smoother and much more responsive. Awesome and definitely worth the money.

Our Rhino had led a rough life before we got it.. Many issues to iron out. We just couldn't figure out why it sputtered and coughed from the mid-rang all the way to the upper RPMs.. We did every test imaginable, but nothing seemed to help. Then I noticed that it had a competitor's CDI box installed by one of the previous owners. On a whim I decided to try a 50 Cal box to see if maybe the old box had failed. Sure enough, that was the issue.. It runs great now. Great CDI AND it came a day earlier than expected. Very satisfied and would highly recommend.

Great deal and works as advertised! Simple plug-in installation and my Rhino 660 started easier and ran better immediately. The original CDI wasn't even bad, this is just a superior unit. I'll keep the original one for a spare just in case. Haven't had a chance to test for better speed/power etc yet, but the quick run I took with it right after installation showed that it ran great.***** five year update:Still running great! I've carried my original CDI around in my glove compartment as a spare and haven't needed it. When plowing, I can back up faster with the 50Cal unit and there is noticeable difference in the throttle response. Top speed- I really can't say, as I'm running tracks which gear it down even lower. In high range, even on tracks, it scoots pretty good and doesn't bog the engine in deep snow. One of the best upgrades (of many) I've done to my Rhino and 100% recommend this unit!!!**** NINE year update:STILL running strong! The best part was the reverse speed limiter, as I plow with my Rhino and backing up quickly makes those long driveway runs easier without just turning around and then having to get out and change my plow angle. Just reverse back up the long driveway quickly. Still running strong. Haven't even fouled a plug in all this time- my plug looks great when I do my annual tune-up.
