It provides deep cleaning power, effectively lifting out unwanted charcoal, graphite, or pastel pigment without smearing or smudging. Additionally, it’s gentle on paper, minimizing abrasion and preserving the paper’s surface. Ideal for use on vellum, watercolor, delicate papers, and traditional drawing paper surfaces.

These erasers don't smear, smudge, or tear up the paper. Great for address books and journals.

Best erasers for golf scorecards! And perhaps for architects and engineers.

Being a bit of a pencil snob, my pet peeve is an eraser that leaves a smear or shadow. These erasers are super soft, and they erase a Pentel mechanical pencil lead with very little effort. They erase cleanly, and with minimal eraser bits on your paper. I can barely see the pressure outline of the numbers I erased next to the eraser in the picture. Since it is so soft, it is easier for me to lightly erase for shading within a pencil drawing to create highlights. These are economical in a box of six in comparison to buying them individually.

I found my new favorite eraser. These work so well, they barely leave any trace of the erased writing behind. I tested them with graphite from different pencils - both regular and mechanical - and got the same great results every time. On the eraser, it says that the "eraser dust will stick together," and I found that to be absolutely true, so not only do they work extremely well, but they don't leave behind a huge mess! I highly recommend these.

I wasn't really sure what "soft" would mean but now I get it. If I have made a deep impression onto the paper, this soft eraser doesn’t dig in and erase. However, if I write lightly, these erasers are perfect. It says the eraser dust will stick together. I don’t notice a difference between the regular Pentel polymer dust and this soft polymer dust but they are both better than a regular old eraser. So these are great for artists.

I already use Pentel erasers, so I jumped at the chance to try these soft Pentel erasers. I did my own little experiment with them, using Prismacolor Col-Erase erasable colored pencils in purple and sky blue, a multi-colored colored pencil (it has mixed colors in its lead) with colored swatches in purple and orangey-yellow, a mechanical pencil, and a 'normal' pencil with a HB lead.I then used the Pentel soft eraser on the swatches, and the picture shows the results - not only of how well the eraser worked on erasing, but on their claim of "eraser dust sticks together." I found that the former excelled more than the latter, and when it comes to an eraser, function is more important than form anyway.

I use a lot of delicate papers while drawing, and this is one of the few erasers that doesn’t cause damage but still erases well. I use them largely with pencils ranging from 2H to 4B, and it works pretty well for all of them.I really like that the eraser dust sticks together. I end up with a LOT of eraser dust with other erasers and it drives me a little crazy (I even got a little gadget for cleaning it up lol). These save me from that. The size is a little small, but since they come in a multi-pack, it’s a good deal.Overall, I really like these erasers, and I’ll order more when I get through these.

These erasers are small enough to keep inside a small pencil pouch. The softness makes it "gentle" over the paper, they erase very easily.
