Needed a slightly longer paddle for my new kayak which is wider and sits higher. I’ve used this a couple times now, works well. The lure retrieval slot in the paddle helped when I cast without looking to see there was a tree branch directly above me.

This paddle is the ticket for a fishing kayak , i had originally ordered the 94 inch version but when you sit in the upper position on a Pelican Catch 120 kayak you need the longer 98 inch paddle as you will be elevated by 4-6 inches.The paddle is well made and designed , it has a measuring feature for your fish printed on it but it's more of a bling effect than a useful feature , nonetheless this paddle is a good buy.

Great product, Was shipped in Manufacture Box, with contents inside still in manufacture plastic and tags. Buyer be careful , the product was listed as Prime 2 day service item. It took over a week to get this to my front door. Not sure if blame is from the warehouse, mis-sort at shipping center, or actual delay by Amazon to save cost. All i know is if your planning on a weekend trip and think you got time to get this delivered... think again. If in a hurry go to a local store , if you can wait 7-10 days then all I can say is this is a quality item. Pelican Brand is budget friendly and based on my personal use not only in the Kayak I purchased but the accessories they make I have no complaints.

Exactly what I needed. I am taller and like the extended length. Lightweight and the ruler on it is quick and easy to see.

It isn't as late as the carbon fiber one's obviously but the price reflects that. The subtle advantage with this particular paddle is the fact that one side is oval-shaped this allows you to have a better grip and able to manipulate the paddle torque much better than a perfectly circular shaft. Very good.The paddle comes apart into pieces and is not adjustable. So make sure you purchase the right length. It has angler measurement reference on the pole so that you can check for fish length.Excellent value highly recommend it. I use this particular 98-in paddle for my fishing inflatable Coleman 2 person fishing raft. It's a great size.

This is my first kayak and wasn’t sure about what paddles to use. After lots of YouTubing I decided on these and have really enjoyed them. Light weight, good control of water resistance and high quality. Highly recommend

The paddle is not bent on the right hand side, this has not been going on for years, the package has not been squished. I admit I didn’t realize it at first and thought it was damage but I went back and READ and it’s called indexing and it’s intentional. I haven’t used it yet so I’m sure it will take some getting used to but it seems like a great paddle for a great price point. Nice and long for sit down paddling on my paddle board :)

Excelente remo y súper ligero, sólido y el gancho recuperador de señuelos es la onda, el motivo para no darle 5 estrellas es que los empaques anti salpicaduras son muy pequeños y terminas muy mojado al usarlo (no soy un experto aclaro)

i got this for 44.95 as a back up paddle for when i launch or get in hairy situations and fishing hook thing may come in handy if i every fish, which i intend to in the summer times. you cant beat the quality for price, i mean its a trusted brand, and on craigslist old ones are going for similar prices and are beat up. even for a main paddle this is a very incredible deal. this is on par with the sea eagle paddle i returned that was $79. as for under $50 i challenge any1 on amazon to beat this with a trusted brand, i highly doubt it.

I have the Life-time 10' kayak. This is the perfect paddle for a "sit on top" kayak. It was packaged well and arrived undamaged. Has multiple holes in the pole where the two ends connect together so you can off set the paddles if you want. I tried several different settings, but eventually went back to a straight alinement. It worked best for me. The shaft is bent in a little on one shaft so you can easily adjust your grip without having to constantly look at the ends to see if you have it in your hands correctly... great feature usually only found on much spendier paddles. The shaft has some kind of coating that makes griping easier as well. The thing I most cared about is the length. The paddle that came with the kayak was way too short and I would get soaked as I paddled because I had to lift the paddle so far out of the water for each stroke. The Pelican Poseidon is a full foot longer and has drip rings on each end to prevent "drip back" as you paddle. No more soaking! Well worth the purchase price... would buy again!

This thing is awesome compared to my previous paddle. Was having some hesitancy on going this long (98.5") as I'm 5' 11", 210 and paddle a 31" wide boat. According to most paddle length guides, I would need about 3x less than this. But I'm VERY happy with the paddle and my decision to go for the long version. I paddle a F&S sit inside kayak, recreationally, but this thing makes the experience so much more enjoyable. The ovalization of the right hand grip is awesome in helping index the paddle without looking. Rubberized texture or whatever this is is super comfortable and grippy. As yet I don't see the need for aftermarket grips or tape. Dripping on deck is minimized thanks to the drip cups and notches cut into the blades. If you've been making do with a Magellan, No Limits, Ozark Trail, or similar "fast food" paddle, you will thank yourself for upgrading to this beaut'
