the 5 way switch on my d'angelico bedford deluxe was wonky out of the box. i did some research and found out about this. decided to try it before i did surgery after much frustration with the switch. sprayed it in the back. sprayed in the front. went up and down with the switch like 20 times. let it sit to dryi had no switch problems when i tried the guitar out next day and haven't since. a of expensive chemical snake oil solution is just junk, but this worked great for me

I have been putting off getting my SG (guitar) 'fixed', have been experiencing static, crackling noise when turning up my volume knob in all switch positions. I tried this based on reviews and have limited expertise messing around with electronics. I literally took my back panel off, sprayed, turned the knob a few times then waited for it to dry. Once plugged in, all the static is gone, just like that. I didn't remove any pots, just sprayed with fingers crossed and wow, it really works! I was a bit concerned because it comes out of the can 'wet' so I thought that can't be good. It of course dries quickly, still was concerned I was going to ruin my guitar. If you have static like me, give this stuff a try! The can should last me forever as I barely used any.

This product works great. I have a 12 channel Mackie mixer i bought at a garage sale in the 90's. When I moved from So. California to E. Texas in early 2000's it sat in storage for a few years. After unpacking it i found oxidation on the screws that held it together. I thought it was a loss and after connecting everything up the audio would cut out on left or right or the mic would drop out. As a last ditch effort i bought this and it worked great. It can be used on plastic and painted surfaces. All audio dropouts cured.

My Focusrite Scarlett was having some crackling in the volume knob that could not be worked out through exercising the potentiometer so I bought this because I knew I could also use this on my bass guitar that I have with no issues. My volume knob on my interface now feels super loose but silky smooth, and most importantly the crackling is gone after giving it a real good spray and worked that knob around like it was a super smash combo. Pleased with the results and I will definitely buy this product again when I run out.

Just a heads up. This is no longer in the old style can. If you were thinking about buying this Peavey labeled can to avoid the new style can with the captured/folding spray tube, you're out of luck. They need to update the picture.

My Cry Baby wah pedal was squeaking and crackling when I played my Hendrexian solos on my custom-made Jumpin' Jimmy Stratocaster, so I went to YouTube, entered "noisey wah", sat back and waited for my world to change. I found a video of a friendly-looking bearded fellow who demonstrated a way to clean the contacts on the innards of the pedal to silence the noise. This led me to this fine Peavey product. I've always been a Peavey fan, being the proud owner of several Peavey amps, a Peavey guitar and a Peavey shirt. I took my pedal apart, sprayed this stuff everywhere (I even got some on my cat and my nearly-naked girlfriend), put it back together and problem solved. I bought it, it was delivered quickly and it worked. Bam.

I bought this to resolve my horrendous crackling noise when I turned on my Ac15. It didn't resolve it at all. Bought the Super 10 switch stuff and its brilliant. Not quite sure what this would get used for, quite greasy residue

I had a Fender amp that had some noticeable noise when raising or lowering levels. I disassembled the amp from the case and then sprayed the Peavey Funk Out in each pot and made several several twists of the knobs - put everything back together and voila, no more noise. This stuff turned an amp that I thought was pretty much ready for the trash into a like new piece of equipment. It works and it lasts. Highly recommended. Although, it may sound like a lot of work to do everything I did, it really only took about thirty minutes to do it all. If you have some noise issues with your amp dials, Funk Out will be your best friend...
