Bought this item since I see eggs in the tank one in a while and would like to give them a chance to hatch. I put a few panda corycat eggs in. Two eggs have hatched. I was concerned that they would be able to squeeze out as the fry are so small, but so far they haven’t escaped. I have had a problem where a shrimp got stuck between the glass and the box. But it is working at hatching eggs and keeping fry the fry alive so far.

I purchased the small size of this container for my 20 gallon fish tank to help keep my small female betta in to make sure they get along with the other female bettas. The container is very well made and the suction cups holds very well in the water.PROS: Clear, great water flow in and out of container, and does what it is supposed to do.CONS: None

The quality on this on is a little lacking, I had received the inside shelf with a crack in it and the plastic is rather thin. That being said, it does serve it's purpose, floats well without the suction cups and keeps fish in/out of the enclosure.

I used this to acclimate my female betta into my aquarium without knowing whether she would kill the rest of my fish. It worked well but was definitely a temporary solution and not big enough to hold her permanently. I found that she was a little aggressive while in this breeder box probably because it was too small. She would flare a little and try to swim at fish that were near her box. After about half a week to a week I decided to add her to the rest of the tank. Luckily she got along with the rest of this fish and hasn't been aggressive. As far as breeder boxes go this seems to be a good value. It has good separators and design choices to protect baby fish. The suction cups attach really well to the glass sides of the aquarium and were even hard to get off at some points.

I bought the large one...would hate to see a small one. This isnt even vented to allow water to pass through. This is a complete pile of junk. For any experienced more advanced fish tank handlers i highly reccommend you all to not buy this. Waste of money

I didn't buy this for breeding purposes, I needed to separate an injured fish. This package arrived quickly and as expected. The box is large enough to fit my fish comfortably and has lots of slits to allow for water to come through. My fish are safe while they recover in the box without having to invest in a whole hospital tank setup which I appreciated. It has three rooms so if you were to try to separate baby fish from the parents, they fall right through to the bottom section and stay safe there. I like the fact that it floats at the top And is easy to access. The lid is helpful to contain any escape artists. I recommend this product if you're looking for a in-tank way to separate fish from one another. Works well.

I ordered the medium and at first I was worried it was too large for a 15 gallon aquarium. I love the customization possibilities with all of the pieces. I put a pregnant guppy in one side as she was being harassed. I moved tiny fry onto other side and the smaller once have gone through the slits into safety. The larger ones from another fish that were swimming are on one side above the wee ones. The suction cups hold it firmly near my power filter outlet to allow some water flow. The top lid has slits. Heavy plastic, great quality.
