I have been very pleased with this instrument. I do not have much experience with dobros, but as an owner of a couple of Martin guitars, I do know what a great sounding and quality made instrument is. This instrument is definitely a great sounding instrument for the price, and it is great sounding to me period. I'm sure better Beard models and other high end dobros would sound better, but for me (and for my wallet) this is perfect. The actually guitar is made in China, and though I would not say the quality is as good as a Martin, it looks good and rugged enough to stand the abuse that I will give it, and last a long time. The resonator and setup is perfect; the people who set these up are pros, and their work is excellent. They also were very quick about shipping as well. Overall I am very happy and I'm thanking the Lord for such a beautiful instrument with which to praise Him.
