These whistles appeared identical to some I bought a few years ago, but they are NOT the same. The ones I bought before were all aluminum, and worked quite well. These only have an aluminum shell, and the inserts that direct the air to make the whistle sound are poorly made and poorly shaped plastic. They move around easily, and do not direct the air properly. The sound these make is weak and sickly. They are more expensive and of much lower quality than the ones I bought before. They are just another example of the wide spread cheap-ification of products these days.

The chains on these whistles fall apart and are weak and cheap. Whistles are fine.

The whistle itself is fine. I bought the 2 pack to have one on my keychain and one on my badge at school for recess. The metal loop that attaches directly to the whistle which then attaches to a small chain and larger loop is so cheap. I lost my recess whistle on the first day and the one one my keychain broke as well, but was thankfully in my purse, so I could retrieve and fix it. Wish the chain was not so cheap. This is an update- after seeing my review, the seller did reach out to me and offered to refund my money, which I accepted. I was issued a refund and appreciate the way the seller handled my concerns.

This whistle is very tiny, and it is not loud at all. Could probably be heard in an adjoining room if the doors were open, but that's about all. I'm not sure it's worth returning...might just trash it.

Go it for my dad as an alarm whistle at home ashe cannot shout if he needs help. Could hear from farthest point of house. And is light enough to wear round his neck

My grandchildren love the water and this year they have been bought paddle boards for a family holiday.To ensure they are safe they have been bought life vests, but they don't have whistles attached so I thought these whistles would be perfect.They are made of aluminium and have no moving parts so they are perfect for use in the water if you get into trouble. They come in a pack of two and have rings so you can attach them to life vest so they are in easy reach.I know that my grandchildren will be in shallow water and watched like hawks by their parents, but its always good to know they have another option to gain attention if things did go wrong.At £5.49 for a pack of two whistles they are a bargain and maybe every child who ventures into the water should have one to call for help.
