This is not the stiffer foam insulation that I can get locally, which may be a better choice if you're sliding it right over a piece of pipe. But I was using this on a line with a back-flow device with heat tape being held on that by zip-ties. And I liked the formability this has. But I did have to cut a seam open and then also zip tie it closed.
