This cut the perfect latticework. The instructions were easy to understand.

I bought this with no real expectations - a good thing since it was incredibly difficult to use. I will keep trying, as the concept is kind of neat. I am a baker I thought this would be fun. If I had expectations, I would have been disappointed. I think it might end up being a playdough cutter.

I can't give 5 stars because I couldn't get it to work like the video shows. Probably just my skill level, but if I can't get it to work, it shows that it isn't as easy as they say. It cut the dough fine, but the dough didn't separate like a net.It is metal and sturdy, but it just didn't work right for me. It is sharp though, so be careful!

This is the best thing since sliced bread! It takes a little practice, but then you have perfection. My beef Wellington and pies look wonderful. I never knew they had such a thing as a pastry cutter.

This cutter did exactly what it said and made a very fine lattice pie top crust. The first thing we realized is that you do not start at the very edge of the pie crust as it will curl up with the cutter, once we started in about 1/2 inch and was able to hold down the crust it helped. You also want to start in a bit so that when you lay it on top of the pie you can crimp the crust together. After we got the crust cut it was difficult to place on top of the pie due to the fine cuts. To do this we took a large pizza peel to transfer the cut crust on top. Because of the fine cuts we did not need the entire crust to top the pie, so we sprinkled cinnamon sugar on the rest of the crust and cooked it that way, which made a very nice crust accent for the pie. In summary, the cutter made a very fine lattice but we are not sure it was much easier to use than cutting a regular lattice.

After using this kitchen tool, I can say it does generate an even lattice effect. The effect looks best if you use it on a square or rectangle piece, then drape it over your pie, and tuck in the edges then. I plan on using this again during the holiday season to make some impressive looking pies for the family gatherings. Excellent tool.
