Fair amount of bristles that haven’t fallen out— yet. Bristles that absorb liquid or basting with ease & dont leave ‘evidence’ are all that matters. These do the job.

- Some sort of engineered-wood handle, not like what you would get from say, a tree- Plastic collar with poor fits to the handle, cured glue squeezed out of the seams in some of the gaps- Brush is polymer. For my kitchen uses (dry) I wanted the natural fibers that these were made to look likeOverall this purchase was my bad, I tacked it on during a larger order & didn't pay attention to what I was buying. It is essentially a synthetic/mass-produced version of what I wanted. The price should have been a giveaway.I don’t think it’s a rip off for the price, but would not recommend adding low quality tools to your kitchen (if that’s your intended use).

I have some smaller and larger natural bristle brushes, but it was this in-between size that I really needed. Good quality, comfortable handles, and firmly affixed bristles so there's no shedding. These are the perfect size for basting my baked pretzels with butter! Large enough for efficient coverage, but small enough to get into all the nooks and crannies.Natural bristle brushes work SO MUCH better than silicone 'brushes'.I cook and bake a LOT, and I'll be ordering another set of these perfectly-sized brushes for my kitchen arsenal!

As an avid home cook and baker, I've come to rely on quality cooking tools that can keep up with my culinary adventures. I was thrilled to discover this set of natural bristle pastry brushes from NXRACSH. I have been looking for some good pastry brushes, the silicone ones don't work well on fresh baked sourdough. The first thing that caught my eye was the high-quality construction. The soft, pliable bristles are made from genuine boar hair, ensuring no stray strands end up in my food. The sturdy wooden handles have a lacquered finish that's both water-resistant and easy to grip, even when things get slippery in the kitchen. And the 2-inch wide brush heads provide excellent coverage for brushing the flour off my baked sourdough loaves. But what really impressed me was the versatility of these brushes. Whether I'm working with delicate egg washes, thick barbecue sauces, or just need to evenly coat a pan with oil or melted butter, they perform beautifully. The bristles hold up exceptionally well against high heat without singeing or losing shape. And the wide, angled heads make it easy to access every nook and cranny of pans, dishes, and baked goods.Cleaning is also a breeze - a quick wash in warm, soapy water is all it takes to restore these brushes to like-new condition. They've remained soft, pliable, and virtually odor-free, even after heavy use.I especially appreciate having two brushes in the set. Not only does it allow me to dedicate one to savory dishes and one to breads, preventing any unintended flavor crossover, but it also ensures I always have a spare on hand when one is in the wash or drying. It's those little thoughtful extras that make this set so practical. In my kitchen, top-quality tools are an investment, and these pastry brushes have already proven their value. I highly recommend for the home chef seeking professional-grade utensils that elevate every dish, this brush set is an absolute must-have.
