More than half of the dowels need to be sanded down to fit into the poorly drilled holes.

This is gift that arrived too late for me for Christmas it but it seems sturdy enough. This is my first time making pasta myself, so the functionality of the item has yet to be fully tested.

I wanted to begin making my own pasta and then along came this bad boy. This is quite a large pasta drying rack made from beautiful acacia wood - which is one of my favorite woods. There are 10 bars (each about 9 inches) to hang pasta on to dry effectively. The solid wood is a beautiful addition to nearly any kitchen. I feel like an Italian nonna ready to nourish and bless her children and grandchildren with the immaculate taste of fresh pasta. Buon appetito, miei cari!

Product arrives in a flat box and when it arrived I had no idea what it was. The holes for the rods are not drilled perfectly so it was difficult to get them all in. I had to use my pocket knife to clean some of the holes out for the rods to fit properly. I like making homemade pasta but have previously avoided spaghetti or fettuccine because it always sticks together, even after cooking right away. This has helped with that and now I can have fresh dried pasta in bulk.

Love this pasta stand. The wood is easy to clean, assemble, and disassemble for storage in a drawer. There’s no varnish or smell. It dries quickly. It holds enough pasta for 6+ people (long noodles). And there’s no issue with pasta sticking to the wood. Awesome addition to my kitchen.

I bought two different drying racks and have actually used both at the same time for a large batch of pasta. This rack, compared to the smaller rack in the front of the photo, is a great height for hanging longer pasta and holds about twice as much than the smaller rack. The pasta doesn't slide off the wood and the wood is odor free. If you're familiar with tinker toys, it goes together the same way and comes apart easily for storage. Of note, my upper cabinets are too low for this rack to fit below, so that limits where I can use it.

I first bought the cheaper plastic version, which broke during the first use. This was a little more money, but it’s great quality and the perfect size for a double portion of pasta drying, not to mention beautiful. After my pasta-making party, every one of my friends ordered this item for themselves. Order it—you won’t be sorry!
