I recently started using a Mixnaux Mixer and hoped this passive monitor would be a great addition. After testing it for several hours, I realized that understanding your use case is crucial before purchasing. Since this is not a powered unit, it requires an external powered signal source to function properly.I initially planned to connect two devices and send separate left and right channels to my mixer, but that didn't work as expected. It appears this unit is optimized for a paired stereo input, like from a home stereo system. While the bottom input worked fine, using Input 1 and Input 2 for L/R channels resulted in weaker output. The top input, however, produced no sound, leaving me questioning whether the unit was defective or if it simply requires paired stereo input for optimal performance.🎯 Best Use Cases🔹 Input Sources: DVD players, sound cards, computers, DAC converters, cell phones, MP3 players🔹 Output Destinations: Speakers, mixers, amplifiers✅ Pros 🏗 Sturdy & lightweight build 🎚 Smooth & functional sliders🎵 Supports stereo input/output⚡ No external power needed❌ Cons🔌 Bottom input lock interferes with some XLR cables 🎛 Limited flexibility due to specific input requirements

this is built like a tank. this is not a mixer. I use this to just simply control volume for monitoring from my studio speakers and sub. it does a very good job with the balance. I like the fact that they keep it very simple and direct with this.

This is a passive volume control. It requires no power to operate. The box it came in was mislabeled as "Professional Headphone Amplifier". There is no amplifier in this unit. The way this works is not clear in the instructions. There are two inputs which are combination balanced/unbalanced (XLR/1/4").Each input has an Output 1 output and an Output 2 output. The two volume sliders each control one output from each input. So this can be used with a stereo input, using the sliders to control left and right, or it can be used with two independent inputs and control two separate outputs. It cannot be used to mix two separate inputs to a single output, unless an adapter is connected to combine two separate outputs into one.The unit is also bulky. It seems unnecessarily large for what it is designed to do.I will probably not use this because of the size and limitations of the design.

This is an amazing product at an unbelievably low price. I'm a composer and have a home recording studio, I also build midi controllers and tinker with synth developing. My studio has a couple of Moogs, Tascam boards, and a Mellotron M4000D, so I know a little something about good build quality, and what to look for in quality gear. This passive volume board is top notch (except the plastic fader caps, which can easily be replaced, but I am picky about knobs and caps). What this has allowed me to do in my studio is very important. The Tascam Model 12 that I have does not allow for the sub and main outs to work simultaneously, this is a problem for me because I need an out from my Tascam for my monitors, and my Akai reel-to-reel. So without this, I was unable to achieve my stated goal. So this worked out perfectly since I am able to adjust the volume on two separate channel. This is perfect if you have two sets of monitors, or two outs of any kind that need separate volume adjustments. And for 50 bucks? It's a no-brainer. The sound quality is perfect since this is a passive device, no power is needed. Something else that impressed me about this is that the quality of the packaging is top notch. It has a very nicely printed corrugated mailer styled box, with a nice graphic, and foam insert. I liked the box so much that I used it for design inspiration for my midi controllers. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs a simple, quality, and effective studio solution. And as you can see, it is quite handsome so will look great in your studio as well.
