The rods screw together very easy and unscrew very easy. Be sure to use the tape included that will prevent the rods unscrewing during use. The whole thing is light weight and I would not trust it if you had to use much force. Great for a fast and light cleaning. Bristles are very soft and did not damage the surface, but it does not clean was well as the harder brushes.

very cheaply made the brush is flimsy didn't do anything when i ran it threw my chimney pipe only removed the ash and soot in chimney and didn't even put a scratch in the creosol so definitely would not recommend but if you use the powdered creosol that burns the creosol to ash then this would work fine to clean the dust and soot
