About this item

It features a 54-76mm interpupillary adjustment, while both ocular tubes are equipped with a (+/-6) dioptre adjustable, to compensate for eye-strength difference when needed
  • 3.5x—45x standard magnification range, that when used with the included 0.5x barlow lens. The parfocaled optical design ensures that images remain sharp, crisp, and focused, throughout the entire magnification range
  • Pillar stand offers a long and flexible working distance. The black and white reversible stage plate provides a contrasting background for the specimen, while the stage clips secure it in place
  • Heavy and stable support arm with a lock-screw to position the 360° rotatable optical body, which also adjusts up-and-down on the vertical post stand. Precise, heavy-duty rack and pinion focusing mechanism, with large knobs and adjustable tension control
  • 144-LED ring light with intensity control, guarantees a clear-and-crisp, cool-to-touch white light that lasts up to 60x longer than traditional tungsten bulbs

You get what you pay for with this one. This is a low cost, student grade scope, don’t expect crisp focus when using the maximum magnification. if you are in need of a low cost dissecting scope, this might do the job IF your organisms are not super tiny (~1mm). There is no lighting at the bottom, all the light comes from the led lap in top, which is blinding and reduces the image quality. I was able to identify a tiny parasitic wasp, but if I needed to do any meticulous taxonomy I would not be able to see the detail on wings, torax, etc. I bought this because it was cheap and I’m using it for traveling to the field.

am I really the 2nd review here? It is clearly a competitor to AmScope only slightly cheaper... but the same quality -- same factories, worse USA marketing. Not Chinese garbage, north amaerican/Canadian science company making an AmScope at a reasonably priced deal. Saving my ass on these little electronics soldering jobs which No Magnifying Glass could Ever Do!Thank you PARCO !!!!
