I had a small tote beside the step in which packages could be hidden from porch pirates and be out of the weather. When the lid finally cracked from sun rot, I decided to replace it with this box.The lid is domed so water does not pool on top as it did with the tote. It is also much deeper, allowing for much larger packages to be put inside. The lid has a place to add a padlock if you wish.We have had some BIG storms come through since this arrived. Ours is wedged between the AC unit, the steps, and the house, so I don’t know if it would blow over in a more unprotected, open spot or not. But ours has stayed upright, the lid has stayed closed (despite a 73 mph gust), and not a drop of rain has ever gotten inside, so packages stay dry.So far it has worked well and we are very pleased with it. Much better than those $300 and up boxes that I saw when looking for a replacement.As long as you make sure the measurements will fit your space, it should do very well for you.

We bought this to hold outgoing packages. For the amount of volume you get, it is a good deal. Only are packages over 20 inches are too big.However, we were hoping this would protect our packages from the rain, sun and wind. It does a great job with rain. It also does well with the wind, not having blown over even during some severe thunderstorms. But the sun heats it up like an oven. Zero insulation.

I ordered the vertical box, but was sent the horizontal box. Rather than returning it, I decided to keep it. Even though I would have preferred the vertical box, the horizontal one works very well. I placed bricks in the bottom to make it heavy, and it's working very well. The package deliverers put my packages in the box, and then they lock it (with the lock I provided). I have had no packages stolen since using this box. I am very pleased with it.

This is a 2 piece molded unit (cabinet and top), not pieces that you have to assemble yourself. The walls and top are made from thicker plastic than I assumed they would be making it a nice package delivery cabinet. I hadn't fastened a sign on it and Amazon put packages in it. It is somewhat heavy but I screwed it down to my deck so that it isn't blown around.

Trustworthy was is my experience with this seller. My hinges were messed up on the original product. I sent them an email, explaining the damage and that I was happy to return the defective product, but I really wanted a replacement. They went above and beyond asked for pictures for their quality department and I sent them as requested.I will even say that I suspect my product was damaged in shipping and not at their facility, but Im not sure. They were so kind and helped me to get a replacement and were apologetic for something that may have happened in shipping. Thank you so much. I love the drop shipping mailbox with the lock option. For anyone considering. This is a good option and good quality, you might want to add a couple of weights to the bottom of the bin. :)

The shipping box was too thin and shipping process created a cardboard box hole around the latch which had the loop part of the latch to tear loose and get lost (ripped off rivets). The latch should have been tied together or better yet not put on and become a buyer self put-on with screws not rivets. I ordered the vertical version of this box and received the horizontal configuration. ??? The design for the cover is poor and allows water to run over the edges and wick inside which will pool at the bottom. It should have had a slightly oversized and indented fitting lid so that water would drip off the edges to the ground. I will have to create an extra cover with a drip edge to make it waterproof. This does live up to the description of the advertised features at all.

No setup required. Just take out of the box. It would help if the lettering wasn't the same color as the container. You can't tell its for mail unless your close up. Almost looks like a trash can. I stuck a "Deliveries" sign to it. Eventually I will also color over the letters with a different color. Still it depends on the mailman. Most use it. Some just don't care. Oh it's also very waterproof.

Just moved into a row home. Any delivery was going to either be free for the taking or rained / snowed on. We decided on this parcel drop box due to its vertical design, hinged lid and hasp for a 3rd party combination lock.We originally received the sister unit with lift-off lid. One simple phone call to the manufacture quickly fixed the mistake. We received the correct unit immediately and were also told to keep it the first unit since shipping back did not make financial sense. FIVE STARS for excellent customer service.We have outfitted our box with a simple combination lock. For the sake of our delivery drivers, we chose a lock that would spell an easy-to-remember word. The unit itself is pretty hefty, but just to double down against any nasty weather, we put a weight in the he unit itself. It's not going anywhere.Highly recommend this parcel box.
