The Panel Lockout keeps the panel door locked. It also prevents the removal of the panel cover by encapsulating two of the panel screws. Circuit breakers remain locked off for electrician’s safety or locked on to prevent unauthorized shutdowns of critical equipment. The Panel Lockout bar attaches to the panel screws. For panels without screws our clips are used. The Panel Lockout an OSHA compliant lockout tagout device as per OSHA Standard 1910.147.

For panels wider that 20 inches extensions are used. The Panel Lockout Kit includes a six inch extension and an eleven inch extension. The six inch extension is used for panels form 20 inches to 26 inches wide. The eleven inch extension is used for panels from 25 inches to 31 inches wide. Both extensions can be used for panels 31 inches to 37 inches wide.
For panels without screws, clips are used. To install the clips: open the panel door and loosen the panel cover removal screw for one side of the panel cover. Slip one clip between the panel cover and the back box and re-tighten that screw. The panel cover will clamp down onto the clip. Do the same for the other side. The clips have a screw on each for easy installation of the Panel Lockout. Since the clips are installed on the outside of the panel, they add two inches to the width of the panel. A six inch extension is used in this photo.

it locks out multiple different panels of different sizes.. the screw in the middle gets stripped really easy
