Working great so far. The only thing I didn't like is that at the lower rim inside the pot, it looks like they squirted a line of the lining material to seal it, and it's a messy uneven squirt line. The Zojirushi I had before was overall better made: it didn't have this weird messy sealing; also the lid hinge removal/re- attach operation was smoother. But for the price difference, it's fine.I'm loving the 6 hour timer where it goes off for 6 hours, then starts reheating again. This saves a lot of water, which does evaporate if the unit is heating nonstop. This also has a slightly slimmer profile than my old Zojirushi of the same volume size. I prefer this slimmer profile.

My family has been using this for many months now, and it's continually used. Very pleased with how well it works. That it has several temperature settings is nice, as we can set it for hot enough for tea, or just hot enough to directly drink. There is no residual dripping of water after dispensing that we have seen.

Drinking hot teas all day requires hot water at your disposal. Although electric tea kettles boil water quite fast, they are poor for keeping the water at desired temperature for tea brewing. Although expensive, this is one of the products that are essential in a tea lover's life.Besides, I use hot water from the dispenser to get cooking started, cutting down prep time whenever I use the dispenser. I put the machine into stand-by mode when I go to bed. After six hours, it reboils and gets hot water ready at desired temperature. As a bonus, such convenience makes my morning go a little bit smoother and less hectic.

I brought the first one for myslef a few years ago and found it is very easy to use when i want to make tea or coffee. Its especially convenient for the elderly to fetch hot water when their hands are getting weaker. I bought one for my father and one for my father in law afterwards, they all love it 👍

This is a make in Thailand, Panasonic economy version of the Zojirushi 4 litre table top water heater ( made in Japan) that I had for 13 years. The temperature sensor finally quit and replacement part is not available. The control switches of the two are the same but the prices are $100.00 cheaper. The added feature is the 6 hours holding switch that won't let the heater continuously re-heating the water at the chosen temperature. This is very useful at night to save electricity when one does not need the hot water. Then 6 hours later, the heater will re-boil and brings the chosen temperature back up in the morning. Being on the economy side, the Panasonic body is plastic while the Zojirushi is stainless steel, so you lost a little heat. The boiling time of the Panasonic is about 10 minutes longer. From cold to boiling the Panasonic takes about 37 minutes. Once the boiling is done the Panasonic makes no sound while the Zojirushi will sing a short tune (if music is important to you). Both brands suggest you clean it with Citric acid, it is cumbersome because it requires many rinses to get the acid taste out of the unit, so a little soapy water clean once a month will do just a fine job. There is a specific side that you pour the water out of the heater, it is marked on the inside of the water heater. Another suggestion; don't keep changing your water temperature, set one up and stays with it, your unit will last longer. Furthermore, don't keep hitting the re-boil button, just let the unit keeps the temperature automatically, it is designed to do it. With proper care, I expect the unit to last 8-9 years or more. Overall, I am quite happy with the unit and it functions every bit as well as the Zojirushi, while the quality is high, a good value for the money.

I used my last Panasonic about 18 years, 24/7. It's finally a bit weak in the keep-hot department so we ordered another one. Just heating water in it for the first time, controls and looks are all the same. I almost got a Zoj.... for 50% more, and then why pay more for something that looks and works the same? Very happy with this little guy. *I use filtered water, and outside of trying to clean it a couple times in the first couple of years (nothing to clean), the old one still clean on the inside.

Keeps water hot and dispenses when needed. What else would I need it to do? Decent quality in a tidy footprint on my counter. I'm happy.

We got this at a great value here on Amazon and it is so useful. Hot water is always ready at our fingertips and the size is perfect. We like that water doesn't sit in here too long as it would in a larger unit. We pour in fresh water every 2-3 days so it gets a lot of turnover. The design is tasteful and looks nice on the countertop and there hasnt been any noticeable impact on the energy bill. We always had Zojirushi, which are premium quality water heaters that we loved. However, they also cost a premium so I am glad to have tried a Panasonic. They look and function practically the same so this has been a good purchase. This is also very easy to clean
