This is a great great product and great value. Does exactly what its supposed to do. At the time I bought these, I tried to find the greatest value (# of tapes per box per $). This was it. These work great! I highly recommend

Have used more than 30 of these Panasonic MiniDV tapes lately in a Canon XH-A1 camera recording at HDV. Perfect playback results every time. What more is there to say. Like the price. Have used some "DIGITAL HD VIDEO" tapes costing 3 times as much. Performance of these Panasonic tapes equals that of the more costly tapes.

A little concerned about the quality of the tapes recently as one tape decided not to work as the others had in the past. It was read a s a dirty tape and the head on the players was dirty. I changed the tape and the next one worked fine. This may have been heat and storage related or just an old tape that had been in storage.

Although there is no such thing as, better color or better resolution or anything like that in the world of digital tape, there is one important concept. It's important to record everything and not skip or dropout. Previously, I used Panasonic DVM63PQ tapes in my Canon XL2 without problems but I thought I'd try something cheaper but as it turns out, you get what you pay for. Unlike the DVM63PQ tapes, these tapes have glitches that cause me to miss little bits of recording.

Just like any other Sony miniDV tapes that I used before. Not better, not worse. I got these because of the price.

This is the brand and length of tapes that I have always used in my MiniDV camcorder. Because technology is going more and more tapeless, but I have yet to make that switch, I needed more tapes, and they are harder and harder to find. Local merchants sell tapes, but at a ridiculously high price, I went online, and found these. Exact product that I needed, at an affordable price, and arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date. Great service!

Good tapes, and the price was good too. This brand of tapes has always performed well for me, and this was an economical and convenient source.

I have been using Panasonic minidv tapes for years now with my Wedding and Corporate video business. They have time and again proven to be reliable and affordable. I find that they produce excellent HDV quality, and are considerably cheaper than HDV minidv tapes. I have had almost no issues whatsoever with the quality of the tapes and dropped frames or footage in the literally hundreds of tapes I have gone through. If you are still working with minidv's and haven't moved on to the tapeless workflow yet, then Panasonics are a great way to go.A word of advice though: if you use primarily Sony tapes, then don't switch to other brands. Sony uses a wet lubricant on their tape stock, and most other brands like Panasonic use a dry lubricant. The result when switching back and forth regularly between the two is that they can create a residue in your cameras and decks, impeding their ability to capture, record, or play back properly.

I ruined a couple of recordings because of the frequent dropouts. Note that bad dropouts such as these interrupt transfers to computers. You need to manually move beyond the dropout to resume the transfer, which increases the gap. This is unusable for performance recordings.I tested many of the tapes after this nightmare and they were all bad. Had to throw them out. This item deserves no stars at all.

As the owner of a video production company, Yellow Raven Productions in Medford Oregon, I often need inexpensive tape to do projects like taping dance practice sessions for training DVDs. This tape fits the bill perfectly. I used to buy my tape in 20 packs from Costco, but they quit carrying it because I guess more and more people are going to tapeless cameras. I own two Sony professional video cameras and like to be able to archive my material and with tape it is an uncompressed file. So untill they quit making tape I will continue to use it.
