My mom is not someone who would try new small appliances. She finds it troublesome and has no motivation to learn about these small appliances. However, when I used this bread maker to make the first bread, she was convinced, as all she needs to do is put the ingredients in, and press start. It saves time and provides more options for example if we wanna add dates in it to make a dates bread.

For the past 12 years we have been using a Panasonic SD-YD250 bread maker. We LOVED the bread it produced. We knew we would eventually need to replace it (it is a workhorse as we make bread every 2 to 3 days) and so began trying out friends’ bread makers. None were near as good. Of course, the SD-YD250 was no longer made. I am happy to report that the Panasonic SD-R2550 makes the same delicious bread. The cycles are configured the same as the SD-YD250 with plenty of rise time to result in a fabulous loaf. I highly recommend this machine.

The Panasonic Bread Maker is replacing a 20 year old bread maker. It still works, but the bread pan keeps popping up when using a bread mix. The bread pan in the Panasonic locks with a little twist. I made the Basic White Bread from the Panasonic manual in the old machine before the Panasonic arrived and then in the Panasonic Bread Maker. The first picture is from the old machine, the second from the Panasonic and the third is my second attempt at a Banana Bread recipe for bread machines. The banana bread hasn't cooled enough to slice, yet. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the first banana bread loaf, but it still came out pretty well. To make the banana bread, I had to manually set the mix time, then manually set the bake time. I have never been able to do that before. I was impressed that the Panasonic has that capability. Compared to our old machine, the bread from the Panasonic is a little lighter in color, the crust is softer and the loaf is "spongy". When pressed lightly, it springs back to the original shape. Before, I had to be careful not to leave a dent in the bread. I have tried a bread mix in the Panasonic 2 times, but it did not come out perfect either time. The bread was very good, just not perfect. I The Panasonic is not perfect, but I couldn't afford $400 for the huge, nearly perfect bread maker that I don't have room for anyway. I read the online manual for the Panasonic before buying it and I was impressed with the way it was laid out and the way the different functions were described.. I still have some learning to do for bread mixes, but I thoroughly pleased with the results of the bread made from "scratch". I just wish that the settings screen was back lit I also want to mention, for those keeping track, this is my second Panasonic. I ordered one from another vendor because it was substantially cheaper, but it arrived dented. The vendor didn't have any more, so I bought this one from Amazon. It arrived it perfect condition., thankfully. I think that Panasonic needs to using something a little more substantial than air to protect the sides of the bread maker in the shipping carton. Bottom line, I am happy that I bought the Panasonic Bread Maker

6 month update: We've saved about $150 so far making our own bread. I'm still making consistently great bread, and have it down to an art, easy to bake and I know what's going into each laof!We make a loaf every 3-4 days, and no matter what I do they always come out perfect. The only one that looked weird was because I loaded it up with too many ancient grains - but it still tasted great. Our current favourite is half all purpose and half whole wheat, with wheat germ, canola oil, brown sugar and water. We haven't bought bread since we bought this, it will pay for itself within the year. Bonus is the wonderful smell and taste of freshly baked bread.

I bought this bread maker assuming the top part was a yeast dispenser, but sadly I was mistaken. (Shame on me)The item came heavily damaged and you can see from the pictures. I paid full price for this, no discount so how is mine so far worst than the other photos here. I didn’t send it back and made a loaf, it works just fine despite the exterior damage. The bread tastes amazing and the booklet has multiple recipes to begin using immediately. The bread maker has multiple presets to make bread easily. All that to say I wouldn’t buy this again. I think I can get a better product for the amount I spent. The exterior damage (Probably the postal service’s fault but regardless had the damage) and no yeast dispenser feature really ruined it for me. I paid $300 for it and don’t feel like it was worth the price compared to other similar products. I saw it on sale afterwards for around $200, that is more reasonable for what you get.

I've got Panasonic walkies, an emerg radio and their Flash Express toaster oven - going strong for years. So, when I found this, it was a no-brainer for me. Of course, the kicker was the powerful motor, and with the exception of a viewing window, it has all the bells and whistles of the other "Best Of" machines. I'm new to bread machines and am only 3 loaves in now but can't imagine this isn't the way it's supposed to be. Super simple to use and clean, solid build, quiet, and the bread is delicious! My only cons are the display could be brighter and I always doubt the durability of the non-stick finish on appliances like this. Pic is first loaf.

It very Ianexpensive bread maker to do this. I am sending it back

I purchased this bread maker with high hopes at a much higher price point than average. but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. After four attempts using the basic bread recipe, the dough failed to rise, and the bread’s interior remained undercooked each time. We followed the instructions closely, trying different types of yeast and flour, but with no success. Disappointed with the performance and seeking a return. Not recommended and ask for return already.

After reading the Operating instruction carefully I prepared the ingredients strictly. The screen indicating all the info correctly while the bread maker was on strike for 10 mins long! So I checked online and found a very detailed video from YouTube everything we did were correct only that we have to wait for 30 minutes for the preheating, so we started to wait , but after 1 hour I finally open the lid - it still rested there no heating was on! I believe the machine is retired- the auto procedure does not work at all! What can I do? In order not to waste my flour and milk I select 19 MANUAL to start the knead, then I guess I need to select 20 for RISE. The machine is quiet compared with a Chinese one I returned recently. So far so good, at least it can work, only it cannot work automatically. I will get back to see what is going on later. Very disappointed with this one. Maybe it is my bad luck to meet such a defective one.

I've never owned a bread maker before and I've baked pretty much my whole life. So when I started having issues making dough and baking due to mobility and pain, I knew it was time to start looking for one. I read a lot of reviews on many different bread makers, watched a lot of tiktok videos, qnd read a lot of website reviews before deciding that this one seemed like the best one I could get.The reason I chose this bread maker in particular is because it has a fruit and nut dispenser and that makes it more convenient IF you are only using dried fruits and nuts. If you want to make a lot of fruit "loaves" like I do ie blueberry or cherry that requires fresh or frozen fruits, then you have to add those In manually yourself.(The machine likes to kick up a fuss whenever you need to do that so don't worry)Otherwise this bread maker has made baking super easy and very hands off. I will say, however, that I know what to look for in my doughs and mixes due to having baked for so long I know when to add or change certain things to get the best results. If your doughs are collapsing, or not performing as you expect and you are unsure on what to do then this bread machine comes with a quick troubleshoot guide and problem solving page in the user manual. I'm sure you could also find that info online. This bread machine has so many functional options that I use frequently. I say I bake just about every day to every other day. I definitely get a lot of value out of this bread maker. It is very versatile. It did take me awhile to figure out what settings I needed to bake my "loaves" as a lot of online bread machine recipes call for "sweet bread" or "quick bread" settings to be used which is not accurate or the right setting for this bread machine. For my banana breads and my blueberry loaves and basically any other loaves I use the "cake" setting and they turn out perfect every single time. It took me a long time to figure that out but I'm glad I did and I wanted to share that incase anyone else was having a problem or wasn't sure what setting to use. You do not need to use the "knead only" then the "bake only" setting that the manual or other websites suggest, It's just a waste of time when the cake setting does it allAll in all this is a great bread maker and me and my family eat deliciously, perfect baked goods all the time now. Also it is very easy to clean and is definitely non stick.Enjoy! :)

I had a bread maker from another brand, and it worked for three years.Every product I bought from Panasonic worked for at least 8 years. The machine is not loud and doesn't run like the other brands. You can easily work with the menu and select what you want.About the quality of the bread, I've really nothing to say. Everyone like its taste, specially the French bread. I make 3 French bread every week just for myself. 😄Everyone told me it's not possible to make a sourdough starter in 24 hours, but with this machine, I made one and baked a bread. The result was good. I liked it.I've also baked almond cake, but it wasn't too light.I'm really satisfied with my purchase.

This machine was so easy to use and I can make fresh bread in under 2hours by using quick rise yeast. It took a couple tries to get familiar with how to add the ingredients, but once I got it it was no problem to achieve a delicious crumb on my fresh loaves. The negative is the machine is quite big and bulky , but it’s not something you have to leave on the counter, I just pull it out when I want to make bread.
