The Side Louver Window is designed to improve the air circulation and help control the temperature in all Palram Nature Series and Americana greenhouses. The shutters are controlled manually for variable airflow to help aid in cooling on warmer days. When paired with the roof vent, the louver window can provide improved air circulation. Additionally the Side Louver Window can be fitted with Palram's Automatic Louver Opener to provide the ideal airflow into the greenhouse.

I took a gamble on buying this for a Canopia Bella. Many say it will not work, I had two different answers from Palram CS (Yes it will, No it won't). Figured I could return it if I had to.It fits fine but you do have to cut 1/4" off the two channel pieces that run across the top and bottom to fit between the vertical panel holders on the end wall. I still need to find something to fill the gap under the window (to the top of the greenhouse base) but I have some extra polycarbonate that I had to cut off to install the window. Can't speak to installing this after the greenhouse is built but doing it during construction was pretty straightforward.Operation is pretty smooth, works like louvered glass windows.

Easy to install and I definitely recommend doing this install as you're putting the greenhouse together versus afterwards. Vents open and close without any struggles and actually seem sturdier than the regular panels.

This does not fit into the back panel opening for the Palram Harmony 6'x10' Greenhouse. It is 3/8" too narrow and so the window slates will drop out. If installing in one of the side openings it should be installed during putting the greenhouse kit together otherwise the one side roof and center side rail has to be removed in order to install it. Think about it carefully before ordering one after and not during purchasing of you're kit. Once the greenhouse has been finished it is a very good quality greenhouse for the money.

This is an absolute must for any Palram Mythos greenhouse. It is sturdy and lets in ample air to cool it down. I installed it during construction of the greenhouse and it was an easy addition. I would be kicking myself now if I didn't purchase this accessory. Get it. Worth the money.

Flimsy, cheap design- but "must have" at greenhouse. Easy installation, I did found instruction accurate, but in my case - I do have a Mythos greenhouse and did install window at rear, no need to remove roof - simply cut plastic and insert! (Some filing was necessary to improve louvers movement.

Works great. Very happy with this vent. I highly recommend that you install this DURING construction of your greenhouse, rather than after the greenhouse is fully put together. I installed mine after my greenhouse was already built, and it was an absolute nightmare to install. Granted, I didn't have any help while installing it. A second person helping would have made things go a LOT easier. Your greenhouse will almost fall apart if you try to install the vent in an existing greenhouse. My greenhouse is the Mythos 6' x 8'. I don't know if it would have been easier with a different greenhouse model. After almost destroying my greenhouse and suffering a few injuries in the process, I'm happy to report that the vent works beautifully. You WILL need this vent to help keep your greenhouse from overheating in the hot days of summer, so buy it along with your greenhouse kit and install it at the same time to make things easier on yourself!

These work real good. They fit the building nicely and provide a good ventilation. When closed they seal very nicely.

This is a waste of time and money. Just cut a hole in the side of your green house and then tape it up in the winter, it will cause you a lot less frustration and will be just as effective. First, this is a nightmare to install. Second, it just doesn't fit correctly, there are large gaps around the window that I will have to fill or tape before when the air outside is cooler. Third, the window louvers themselves don't seal, so this would be worthless in the winter even if it fit the greenhouse reasonably well. I wrote to the company and sent them pictures of the problems and asked if they had a solution to these problems......I haven' received a response and I sent the e-mail to them about a month ago. Save yourself some time, frustration and money.....don't buy this window.

I read the reviews for the Palram Side Louvre Window after I purchased and received the product. I was most concerned after noticing that the window is not supposed to fit the Palram Snap and Grow greenhouse. Of course, I immediately thought about returning it before I opened the packaging. After reading the detailed review By rjeffb (April 4, 2016), I decided that I too could modify my greenhouse to install the louvre window. The benefit of having fresh air come in from the bottom of the greenhouse and exhaust out the roof was too important to leave out of the construction of my greenhouse.Yes, one difference between my installation and rjeffb is that I installed the window during construction of the Snap & Grow. I never had to remove window panels or struggle with braces or struts as I was able to place the louver in while building the greenhouse. As a result, I never had any of the problems that rjeffb experienced. In fact, I never cut the louvre panels nor made any modifications at all. Instead of installing a window panel in the middle of the back wall, I replaced it with the louvre and the small window that comes with the kit. The louvre slipped to the bottom of the greenhouse and the window fit nicely on the top. Admittedly, there was a gap between the window panel and the louvre, but I filled that gap with 7/16" foam insulation to keep the cold air out.I also purchased the Rion Automatic Louver Vent Opener which I installed at the same time. It was a bit more difficult to install as the parts didn't quite align. However, after a few adjustments to the opener, I was able to attach it to the louvre window's manual opener mechanism. It opens and closes as advertised with changes in heat/cold. So far, I haven't figured out how to adjust it completely, but I'll get there. I did notice this weekend the outside air temperature reached the mid 70's here in the Washington DC area, and the Louvre opened (not fully), letting cooler air in from the ground level.
