There appears to have been a quality control issue with these monitor stands. When attempting to attach the mounting plate to the pole, it is impossible to screw it down enough to be stable. The pictures show how far down the screw will go, clearly showing that it comes nowhere near the plate. This causes the plate to wobble uncontrollably. I'm glad I didn't put my new monitors on the stands to test them, or they would certainly fell. Had there not been this issue, and the plates could screw firmly to the poles, I would not have returned them, as the overall quality of materials looks and feels decent for the price, and I liked the idea of the cable management.

I purchased these stands, & although they seem to be well-built & very affordable (for my budget), I quickly found out that these are really meant for a work space that is floating or a good distance away from a wall. I returned these for fixed stands with a small footprint.

Not what I was expecting, but I made it work. The base is pretty big and the instructions were basically useless.

TL;DR - Poor quality stands and poor QA work save your money and buy something else.Where to even start? The stands don't stand upright properly, and the "locking knob" doesn't even lock, it just squeezes a piece of plastic against a cheap aluminum pole. The only things preventing your speakers from dropping into oblivion are friction and a little locking pin. 40 lbs rated? I wouldn't even try it with 1.This product has no QA. I received an extra part of plastic that wasn't even mentioned in the instructions. The epoxy that is supposed to keep the aluminum pole connected to the locking pin receiver was not even glued to anything so it was dried up and useless, and the standing platform itself isn't even completely level. The seller could have been useful, but alas I received zero support for a poor and defunct product. Save your money and don't get scammed.e

Of course your mileage may vary with clarity and resonance and imaging, but mine improved just by getting them mounted on here and aiming them better towards my head, better than I could have achieved with them on my desk, which I needed space on. So this really helped a lot! The quality is good, they are very solid and adjusted easily, everything to mount was included and easy to understand.

Build is relatively okay. It helps to give more desk space.

Holds my speakers no problem and has really strong materials. Can’t go wrong with this. I sometimes even use it to hold my Surface Pro tablet since the height is interchangeable and I can dock it right next to my monitor on an angle. it’s the perfect size, great for price, and easy to install with pictures/directions.
