My sub, a Polk PSW303 is admittedly modest but this isolation device has made it play much more nicely in my listening room.I had made some incremental changes to my system including a linear power supply to the streamer and DAC, which did help tighten the bass but isolating it with the Aperta Sub was the icing on the cake!Once my sub was isolated, that hum disappeared and the tonal quality significantly improved. Well worth the cost!

I was originally content with my first sub being in a corner with walls adjoining my garage & mud room, but when I added a second sub I moved the first to an inner-facing corner (next to the great room) and after distortion matching the 2 subs the original was very boomy. I tried the Iso-200Sub there and not only did it eliminate the boominess, it helped lift a large dip around 60Hz. As this was a better-than-expected result I thought I’d try the Aperta sub stand on the new sub but I didn’t really hear or see much difference in the frequency response. It may be that it’s just not the best location, but I plan to swap the stands and run more measurement sweeps to confirm and will update accordingly.Update: So I swapped the Aperta with the Iso-200. Controlling rattle & boominess is somewhat subjective, you either hear it or not and both stands help with this. The only objective comparison I can really do are frequency sweeps & here’s what they show me.1) either stand is better than none at all.2) I get a slightly flatter frequency response with the Iso-200, which lifts a dip I have about 6db higher than when using the Aperta.Now, to be fair, Isocoustics doesn’t promise a flatter response with either stand. However, from what I can measure, the Iso-200 performs slightly better and costs nearly a 3rd less. Given that, I’d recommend the Iso-200 over the Aperta unless you have a larger sub that necessitates it (mine are 10”).

What to know: The claims are legitimate. I experienced significant reduction in boomy bass.The story: After having experienced other IsoAcoustics products, I bought the Aperta Sub and was initially disapointed. My SVS 16B usually shakes the entire room but what I realized was that was exactly what is was doing, making the bass muddy.Cons: The provided carpet feet are insufficient for anything other than very thin carpet. If you have medium pile carpet with padding you will need to find another solution. I built a deck and used carpet spikes I had from by B&Ws.Final note: I was experiencing less bass then expected from the 16B and B&W 702s3s. It wasn't until I mounted the Gaia feet on the towers that it returned, and cleaner than ever. I'm guessing that the towers may have been out of phase with the sub.

Ein wirklich super Entkoppler des Subwoofers.Die Bässe sind jetzt ohne Scheppern und klingen absolut Satt.Aber vielleicht lag das Scheppern auch an den Nachbarn, weil die nicht immer im Rhytmus meines Subwoofer-Basses gegen die Wände geschlagen haben. 😜

I have a standard sub in a second floor (wood) house.In a side by side test against a ~$30 foam pad (Sound Addicted - Studio Monitor Isolation Pads), the pad performed better with less overall vibration and a tighter, fuller sound in the room.This is nice and sturdy and gives a cleaner look, but I found that it's basic function lacks against the far cheaper alternative.

I have a vintage NHT 10 inch subwoofer. These didn't have any feet and just rested directly on the floor. If you had carpet, that's ok. But, if you have wooden floors, then it's a significant problem. As the woofer hits, it vibrates the floor and anything that is resting on the floor, like your other speakers, TV, stereo and devices. These vibrations not only make noise as the device or furniture rattles, but it interrupts the electrical signals, diminishing the quality of sound or video; especially for blu-ray or 4K discs.This product has a low profile, so your sub won't lift too high off the ground. It suctions perfectly to the floor and the sub, so it is well anchored. This product absorbs all that harmful vibration and just allows the woofer to hit without any hindrance. Not only does the bass tighten up, but becomes more forceful and has more depth. An extremely well made product.

I was a bit skeptical about speaker isolators. Will they really make THAT much of a difference?Based on numerous website reviews, it seemed worth trying.After a 30 second installation time, the sound improvements to my system were immediate.The bass was suddenly tighter, cleaner and much more articulated.Gone was that undefined, muddy and boomy murk.Surprisingly, it actually seemed like there was more bass.The thing itself is high quality and as mentioned, installation couldn’t have been easier.It’s designed to not interfere with a subwoofer’s feet, so for my subwoofer (KEF KUBE 10b, a 15” cube), the size is perfect.As for the reviewer here who complained that the Aperta Sub Stand was too small for his large subwoofer.Well, as carpenters say, “measure twice, cut once.”If your subwoofer is too big for this unit, get separate isolator feet. It's not the stand's fault.As carpenters also say, “don’t blame the tools for a job poorly done.This is very highly recommended. Not cheap, but totally worth it.(Based on this unit, I just ordered IsoAcoustics Gaia II Isolation Feet for my main loudspeakers.)
