I went through the process of finding and installing the correct split rivets to install one of these handles on the front of a big trunk that lacked a front handle. Such a handle was crucial to be able to lift this trunk up onto a shelf where I keep it. I couldn't get my arms around the trunk to use the handles on the side. One of these big, beefy leather handles on front allows me to sling the heavy trunk up onto the shelf with no problem. This was an unusual, but very worthwhile purchase.

nicely made product. my only complaint is that it doesn't come with hardware to attach it to a trunk. i know it didn't come with it, but i was hoping regular screws would work, but the holes in the straps are too small for #8 bolt to go through and move freely. when i attached the handle to small bolts and then to a trunk, the leather just started walking out of the bolt. a few times of usage and a little weight, and the handle would fall out. the handles are not usable until i figure out something to keep the threads of the hardware from ruining the handle. suggestion: include some kind of a bolt or some way to mount this product. nice product, i just haven't been able to use it.
