My Winston is 22 pounds so I ordered him a L and it fit perfectly. He didn’t try to take it off so I think because it wraps around the waist it was more comfortable for him.

I ordered the 3XL based on the size chart - it "almost" fits my big dog! I'm keeping it tho, as I intend to extend the body straps with the straps from his old rain gear. Otherwise its a nice enough product, especially for the price. So, recommended.

I like the design of this coat, but the large, will not fit my 45 pound dog...it runs very very small

I took a bit of time looking through descriptions and reviews to choose this raincoat for my new adoptee, ten pound Ro. She has the conformation of a minpin, with a deep chest, tiny waist, and long back (relatively speaking 😏). I did have to take a tuck in the belly bands, but I realized I would have to because the measurements included in the description were accurate. The coat is great - very well made, covers her well, and easy to get on an off. It’s a winner!
