Perfect for those big ones or a small trunk car just make sure to clean after each use a d keep it out of the sun and it will last personally I used Lysol to wash it out and air dry before putting it away

Fast shipping, as usual. The bag could use a little more width and first time out I see the zipper is gonna be a problem.

In August 2021 I purchased this 40" x 16" bag. Used it a few times, then this year took it to Canada targeting chinook where we used it extensively. It worked fantastic and insulated our fish perfectly, but: For reasons still unknown, water somehow got inside the lining of the bag. Must have been a one-off manufacturing glitch. I contacted Calcutta to let them know, and within 10 days they replaced the bag at no cost. I'm always impressed with companies that quickly stand behind their products, and Calcutta is one of those.

Fishermen if you're looking for a quality insulated fish bag that won't break the bank, this is the one. I like to leave my fish on ice overnight and wait until the next morning to clean them. The fish are easier to filet and skin when the meat is cool, and I filet them easier when I'm not tired from being on the boat all day. The insulation is great. I leave fish on ice in this cooler overnight (in Florida) and I've still got cubes the next morning! These are heavy duty and I think will last a long time. The ruler printed on the side is a nice touch which we've put to use many times already. The fact that they buckle folded up is a nice feature also, which keeps the empty bag from flying out of the boat while you're trailering to the boat ramp.

Did a really nice job of quickly chilling some northern California rockfish and lings. Only downside is that the zipper is not leak proof so you have to keep it upright, but corner loops make that relatively easy to do. Overall much higher quality than I would have expected for $45. Fyi you won’t fit two limits of Farralon grade rockfish in the 16x40 so bring a second bag or cooler!Will be ordering a bigger bag in the future for albacore/bft.
