I have a 2014 Volkswagen EOS and it lacks in some safety features I have grown accustomed to. The EOS has a ton of blind spots and this is really helpful for knowing where people are for switching lanes. Two things I wish it did better and 1 thing I wish I had noticed sooner.I wish there wasn't as much of a mirror effect with the video going. Maybe it's because if how bright the sun is here in AZ but it's hard to see sometimes. On the same note I wish the red visual after for when someone is in my blind spot was brighter or bigger... Just more noticeable. Not the fault is the device but I wish I had opened it before the return date and noticed the one I got really is too large and only adds to the numerous blind spots.I would however buy it again

I love this gadget! It was a lot easier to install than I expected. The screen is very clear and I love that I can see the front and rear camera simultaneously. I usually keep it on the rear camera though. It lets me know when a car enters my blind spot. It records in 1, 2, and 3 minute intervals. You can rewatch the videos right on the screen. And it will record over the oldest file if it’s not locked. Even if the screen is off the reflective surface still lets me use it as a regular mirror.

Don’t get a mirror cam. Just get a normal one. Even through all the adjusting I did, the videos are still tilted because I have to have the mirror adjusted for me to see. You can move the camera itself as it’s like a ball swivel, but it’s not gonna give you the full front view. It views more to the right side, at least for me. Plus if you have a day/night rear view mirror, you won’t be able to use the night view, meaning you can’t adjust the mirror at night to prevent people’s lights behind from blinding you. Most scary of all, I feel like this is a spy product. I’m just speculating now, but I just got a feeling. It’s made in China by China, and Occasionally it turns on the sound recording by itself even though I turn it off. I have to go turn it off everytime. Chinese are spying on us. Make sure to buy products made in America. It’s okay to discriminate against Chinese products. I’m not saying the people, maybe just the government, but the products itself.
