The screws stripped out. Very thin mating surface. Had to solder wires on the connectionsThe water tight seal is perfect and the design great. I wish the internal part was as durable as the rest.

I recently purchased the Oyviny RV 7 Pin Trailer Plug with IP68 rating, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. This plug is built to last, offering both durability and reliable connectivity, which is exactly what I needed for my trailer setup. The IP68 waterproof rating is a game-changer. I’ve used it in heavy rain and rough conditions, and it’s held up perfectly with no signs of moisture or corrosion. The tight, secure fit ensures a strong connection, eliminating any worries about flickering lights or signal loss while towing.Installation was a breeze, thanks to the clearly labeled terminals and sturdy construction. The materials feel high-quality, and the robust casing protects the wiring from dirt, dust, and harsh weather. I also appreciate the solid grip design, which makes plugging and unplugging effortless, even with gloves on.If you’re looking for a reliable, weatherproof 7-pin trailer plug that’s easy to install and designed to withstand tough conditions, the Oyviny RV 7 Pin Trailer Plug with IP68 is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for anyone serious about towing safety and performance!

This makes the fourth seven pin plug I've needed to replace on my camper trailer in ten years or so. I seem to have bad luck with these, mainly due to corrosion and not making flush contact with my Tacoma's power receptacle. It's made from (apparently) high-impact plastic and has a threaded compression fixture to relieve tension stress on the cable housing and provide some measure of waterproofing. Rewiring does nor differ from any of the previous plugs I have done. I did find it prudent to wrap the area with electric tape, however. The head of the plug fits flush to the truck outlet and also engages nicely with the outlet's door to keep it stable and plugged in. I noted some others reporting distortion of the plug body from tightening the hex set screw. To have that happen you are tightening it way beyond necessity, which will be evident to any casual observer. All in all a good value. Will have to see how well it stands the test of time and the elements.

Purchased this 7 pin model to pair with the Nilight 48”/49” LED Tailgate Light Strip 90 LED Red/White for Running Light Brake / Turn Signal / Reverse Light I purchased from Amazon as well. I needed this option to be able to access the rear backup light wire that was not attached to the hitch plug (4 pin connector). Easy to cut off the 4 pin connector and to attach the wires to the color ID’d pins on the new connector. Plugged in and bam! It works perfectly.

I don't usually praise things, but this plug kit is really nice. First off, it came in a sturdy little manufacturers box - well packaged, not just sealed in a plastic bag. Second, the instructions were well written and complete, they even made the distinction between a Utility Trailer type 7-Way, and an RV Trailer 7-Way. Lastly, the plug is well made with a nice heavy plastic housing, an allen screw to lock the Terminal Assembly into the housing, and a gland-type seal to secure around the cable. They even included the allen-key! Nice Stuff.

I have replaced a number of these, and this product was probably the best constructed for the price. The strain relief was great and adjustable to the diameter of the cable. I used high quality heat shrink crimp-on spade fittings which fit fine if you were careful. And I used dielectric grease to protect against corrosion, which I would recommend. The individual terminal fittings were a bit fiddly, but I only swore a couple times, so overall I would recommend it, especially at the price point. The center pin I tinned the conductor since it wouldn’t take a spade fitting. Over12 guage wires would be a challenge though. YMMV on their wiring chart depending upon your use case.

Use these on our trailers at our commercial welding shop. They are plugged in/out daily and have had no issues. Significantly better design than the old style with just the clamp for the cable pass through.

Well made plug and works as advertised. The plastic doesn't feel super heavy duty and it is a bit of a pain to wire; but that is probably due to the fact that you have to sneak 7 wires into that thing. So far no issues and it has performed in the sun and the rain.

The 7-way plug is well made. The outer shell feels solid. The waterproof gland seals tightly around the 3/4" cable. The internal piece with the terminals with screw down posts works well. The instructions are okay with a minor exception. Some of the words for the terminations are shifted down about half a line. I marked up my instructions to make it easier to read as I assembled the plug. Before cutting off the old plug I used an ohmmeter to determine the color code and layout of the wires. I attached marine-grade, ring terminals to the wires which simplified screwing down the wires. When I tested the cable, a couple wires were swapped. The ring terminations may it easy to correct the swap. I then coated the terminations with dielectric grease to reduce corrosion.I liked the plug well enough that I ordered a second one. I'll keep it in the trailer so that if the current plug gets damaged while I'm on the road, I can easily swap out the damaged plug.
