Simple to use, easy to clean up, makes great coffee. I like lattes, but don't want to spend the money on a good at home espresso machine and I don't like getting into the nitty gritty fiddly bits with getting the settings right either. The only thing I had to do with this is find the right grind size. Makes good hot and cold coffee. Though after trying the cold brew method a few times, I just switched to pouring the hot coffee over and ice/milk combo because it uses less coffee, takes less time, and tastes better with the beans I have. Only downside is having to do everything twice if I'm making another cup for someone else. The cup, grind basket, and water container are dishwasher safe, too!

Best money spent in 2024 - I love this thing! So easy to use, easy to clean, and I’ve used it EVERY day for at least 4 months now. No complaints. Great coffee.

This is literally my life saver. I’m a university student and I have trouble staying up to get my work done. I HATED spending money on coffee because it was quickly adding up. Having this means I can make a fresh cup any time I want! I haven’t tested hot coffee yet but the cold brew concentrate is amazing. Take this with a grain of salt bc I am not an avid coffee drinker.. I chug the coffee for the caffeine cuz I hate coffee taste 🥹 I bought the Mcdonald’s coffee to go along with this and I am loving that after diluting the coffee, it’s not sour! It’s very compact and doesn’t take up much space at all! Just think a super tall cup! The design is sleek and super easy to clean. Make sure to watch the videos and you might need a coffee grinder so that the water doesn’t flow through the coffee grinds super quickly. Some of the best money I’ve spent!

I was not sure at first but decided to give it a try. I could not be happier, simple to use, cleans up easily. Loving this purchase, would definitely recommend getting one. I might also add that if I am looking for a product and OXO makes one, that's my first choice. Great products and they stand behind everything that they sell. Speaking from first hand experience. 👍🏼

This is a well designed well made coffee maker. Easy to use and great results. I was spending a lot on coffee, just plain old drip. I had been using a larger coffee pot but always ended up making too much. This is a great size for personal use. Easy to clean not all reusable no pods no paper cups. I was buying 1 or 2 cups a day $3/$4 each time. With this the coffee is better, stronger and cheaper.

The only issue I can see is many parts you assemble and manage for a single shot of coffee, but you get the delicious coffee of aeropress and ease of use and portabilityNo need for a specific goseneck kettle or a scale with timer so it is ideal for travel

Makes great hot and cold concentrate as long as you have a fine grind and tamp it down. Would give 5 stars, but it seems less efficient than other brew methods (uses a ton of beans if tamped down to marked lines). Taste is outstanding. No noise if you ground your beans already. Easy to clean design. Can’t speak to build quality as I’ve only had it for about a month and have used it a dozen times. No issues so far. Other reviews recommend tamping down in a few stages (add some of the coffee, tamp, repeat) in order to prevent the water from dripping through the cake too quickly, but I’ve found that one load and tamp works fine. YMMV

I like the brewer and it makes a good cup of coffee. The problem is you have to knock out the coffee grounds and then rinse to clean. We can't have coffee grounds going into our septic system. My normal pour over doesn't present this problem because I can throw the filter with gounds away with no rinsing.

I have been looking for years for a coffee brewing system that would: 1) produce great tasting coffee, 2) be simple and quick; 3) simplify cleanup. You can see my progress in the first photo. I lean towards french press for the taste, but not for quick or easy. When I discovered Aeropress 4 years ago, I liked the simplicity and speed, and the ability to vary grind, temperature and time in search of the "perfect" gourmet taste. Let me add that I make coffee for 2 every morning, so the original Aeropress slowed me down; I had to brew two batches to make two 14 oz mugs. Cue the Aeropress XL, which makes enough concentrate for a liter of coffee Americano. It checked all my boxes. When Oxo Brew Rapid Brewer appeared this year, I had to see if it could beat the Aeropress. I did side-by-side comparison for a week with the same water temperature, same amount and grind of coffee, following manufacturer's brewing instructions. Here is how they compare for me:SIMPLICITY AND CLEANUPThe Aeropress has 4 necessary parts: brewing chamber, plunger, filter holder, and paper or metal filter. If you throw away your paper filter with each brew (not strictly necessary) you can plunge the spent grounds directly into the compost bin, splash some water on the device and cleanup is complete. The Oxo has 3 essential parts: brewing chamber, water chamber, and air pump. Cleanup is easy, but it involves knocking the brew chamber against the side of your bin, then rinsing and wiping the bottom parts. Life expectancy of the air pump is unknown, whereas the Aeropress will probably live forever and if not, the plunger gasket, the only part that wears, is cheap. Winner: AeropressSPEED.Aeropress recipes usually call for brewing 1-2 minutes, then plunging. The plunging part can take 30-45 seconds and requires much more effort than the air pump of the Oxo. I want to award this one to Oxo because the time is nearly the same and it is so much easier to operate. But I do have to go back to making two batches like with the early Aeropress. Hello, OXO? Is the Oxo XL coming?TASTEThis is what it is really about, isn't it? Oxo beat Aeropress, and I am not going back. Try it for yourself.P.S.I did not experience any excessive leaking. Users who reported this problem may not have ground their beans fine enough, or not tightened the parts as instructed, or had a faulty brewer.
