I use these for a filing system for work. Easy and works for what I need. Cardboard but quality is still good. A little pricey.

When our lives changed in March, I vowed to send at least one postcard a day to loved ones. I already had a healthy stash after years of doing Postcrossing but, after going down the online auctions rabbit hole to supplement my collection, I was faced with the fact that random shoe boxes were no longer the most efficient way to sort and store the postcards...Enter these classic boxes. First, they are not mottled with green as in the photo but, rather, a soft black. They're very strong with a reinforced front and back. The metal tightening mechanism is excellent for stopping the cards' shifting which is especially helpful for fragile 19th-century postcards.Smead makes the perfect tabbed dividers.

Great box for organization. Sliding adjustment bar inside and decently made in todays world.

The box itself is perfectly fine , however I based my purchase on the picture rather than “ description “ and made the wrong assumption that it was actually “ blue/ Aqua “ but is actually black and white

Have you ever been in a class where you've had to write hundreds of notecards? Have said note cards ever become a massive mess, disorganized, causing you to lose some? Well not anymore! This box has made me more organized than ever with all my note cards. Its sturdy, compact, and not to mention has a super cute design! Would highly recommend

Flash card studying worked so well for me in college, and I used one of these to organize all of my work. It was one of my most helpful tools in school. Now that I'm studying for my PMP, I have been looking for a replacement, and I believe that this is it!At first glance, it's just a shoe box to hold your 3x5 cards. When you take a closer look, however, you will see that not only does it hold 3x5 cards well, but there is a track and stopper that holds your cards tight to the front so they are held fast and do not spill around the box. It is adjustable so that you have as much slack as you like to work with; there are no dedicated stop points that you are limited to.Another great thing about this box is that it is super thick, maybe 3 or 4 times thicker than a regular shoe box. It's almost 1/8" (3mm) thick and is very rigid. It will hold its shape. The front and back are reinforced even more, but I think that is just what holds the bottom track in place. My original box lasted all 4 years, and it was used not only by me, but my schoolmates as well, since I would often share my cards prior to big exams, or we would pass it around during group study sessions. I could probably have continued to use it today, if I could only find it.The only downside to this is the price, and that is why I only gave it 4 stars; however, if it holds up as well as my first box did, and it helps me study, then I'm sure the cost will be justified.

I do a lot of research and note cards are a part of my life. This box is just awesome and will hold over a 1000 cards. It's very study, attractive, and the price is perfect. If you buy more than one you can stack them. NO PLASTIC. None of that bulky stuff. All of which is good for recycling and storage. Do yourself a favor, buy these boxes. You really can put anything in them, like letters, pictures, so forth.

I use this for my Spanish flash cards I have made. This holds a lot of them - a whole book's worth. I will need to get a couple more as I move on through the series of three books at different levels of Spanish. The cards had gotten very unwieldy before I got this. Looks good on the shelf, and easily portable for study. Now I can just grab the box for when we go on trips, too, to study then. If I'm recalling correctly, there was some sort of metal rod included, but I didn't need that for my cards.
