This card file holder is made of high quality metal base and transparent plastic lid. Pay attention to the size of cards. It can fit up to 6x9 inch cards only which is less than A4 or letter formats that are around 8 x 11 inches. So if you want to put A4 or letter size paper you will have to fold it. This is not a drawback, but just something to keep in mind. I removed one start, because I think for this price it would be nice to have several plastic dividers. Currently it has only one plastic divider.

I should have checked the size more carefully as I thought this would be a normal card holder. This box is super big, I didn't even know they made index cards that big. It has a very sturdy metal base; however, the top is made of a thin plastic which could easily crack if something is dropped on it. It does take up a lot of space and is an odd size for use as a standard file. I'm still trying to figure out what I can use this for. It did come packed very, very well and certainly won't break in transit.
