These owner hooks really holds the fish well due to the tip on these hooks. In fact, carry a pair of pliers with you at all times because these hooks really hooks the fish well. Alot of times you'll need the pliers to dislodge the hook from the fish. That's how well these hooks sticks the fish.

These are the best hooks I ever used. They are very sharp and fish get hooked easily with these. I use them for live shrimp and it works great. Would recommend

I use these in saltwater. They resist corrosion pretty well, meaning I would expect they last a year to 18 months without any special treatment and remain in usable condition. These jokers are sharp. These hangnail points grab flesh effortlessly. I do wish the hook line loop was larger. 30lb test mono/flouro is a chore to feed through the loop. The points bend easily.

Strong, sharp, catch fish.My go to live bait hooks. They are very sharp, and light enough to allow for good presentation of the bait. I feel they set well. And talk about strong: 5/0, heavy drag, they are super strong and don't get straightened.

Several years ago, a very good guide in Big Pine Key convinced me to try these hooks. I was skeptical, but it turns out he was right. The wire gauge might appear to be a little thin in the eyes of those pursuing big fish, but I've used them on 100+ lb. tarpon, and never had one break. However, don't simply thread a glob of bait on this hook. This hook, like most corcle hooks works best when the hook gap is left fully exposed. If the fish is worth catching, take the time to attach the bait to the crook of the hook with dental floss. I've used these and 5/0 Mutu lights on tarpon, sails, stripers, and big red drum. Once hooked, your fish will usually stay that way until you release it. These hooks also reduce the likely hood of gut hooking a fish. One last thing. When using circle hooks resist with all your might the reflex jerking action you have learned to use with J-hooks. First just let the fish take the bait and move away against a light or medium light drag while pointing the rod in the direction of the fish, then set your drag to your desired fighting tension, lift the rod to fighting position and enjoy.
