I found these well reviewed on several sites and purchased them to replace some older gaiters. They did not disappoint. These are everything I expect from a good set of gaiters for cold weather/deep snow use.

Have worn these several times hiking in the snow. Work as advertised. Perfect to keep powder off the pants and boots. Fit was great and attaching them is easy

I never took winter hiking seriously until this year. After the snow started getting deeper and deeper, I realized I needed something to keep the snow out of my hiking boots. I knew snow pants might do the trick, but those are thick and I tend to run hot. I wanted to wear regular hiking pants, while also keeping the snow out. Through my research, I came across gaiters. Outdoor Research seemed to have the most variety. I didn't need anything special, like expedition gaiters. Just regular gaiters. These ones fit the bill. They are incredibly easy to fit on to your leg and adjust to its size. There are top straps that tighten around the top of your calf, and there is another strap that goes under your boot that's easy to tighten. I have worn them in deep snow, even snow that exceeds the height of the gaiter itself. So far, it has kept all the snow out!!!! They even keep your legs somewhat warm in the cold. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Just make you you size down, which is recommended on Outdoor Research's website. I am a size 12 foot, which technically requires an XL gaiter, but I sized down to large, and it was the best decision. The bottoms are wide, and you don't want them too wide or you won't have full coverage around your ankle. This is an invaluable piece of equipment for winter hiking or hiking in any season with inclement weather.
