Stays on better than most if put on tight , waterproof for snow and ,ice , and cold wet muddy weather . The long length covering higher up legs and double Velcro straps are the reason they work well . My dog Pepper stands perfectly still after I put them on him 😂 ,and then walks lifting his feet twice as high as normal with each step until we get a few feet outside and then he just adapts and walks on , just a little slower than his normal pace .He doesn’t seem to mind much as we go on and his feet stay perfectly dry , warm , and clean .

They seem like they would be warm and decent quality, but they will not stay on my dogs feet. By the end of the block she is walking on the upper part. Gave them to a friend's rescue, maybe they will have a pup that these will fit better.

I live in NH. Lots of snow and ice. My 90 lb. German shepherd had to have his nail surgically removed after breaking it on ice. We bought these boots to replace the medipaw boot from the vet. That ripped in 3 days. These boots are so well made. The outer layer is durable for snow while the warm liner keeps him warm and comfy. They were well worth the money. The drawstring is of great quality. The velcro is long enough to fully wrap his paw in 2 places. Also they added reflectors for walking in the dark. I bought a size large and they fit him perfectly. I only write reviews if I am very impressed with an item. I am impressed with these!

...but I don't. They will be returned. The idea is great, but the boot shaft material is way too stiff. Especially in bitter cold. It inhibits natural movement of my Yellow Lab's ankles.As for getting them on...NOT EASY. It's very frustrating trying to get his paw all the way to the bottom. Again, ankle issues. The natural angle of a dog's ankle makes it very hard to get these over the bones without a struggle.My boy is extremely tolerant about putting socks/boots on, so we did eventually get them on, but it was a huge hassle. Too much hassle to be worth it each time. And then they flopped around and came off. :/I really wanted these to work both for paw protection and snake protection while hiking in the Southwest, but they're a hard pass. I'll continue looking for something better!

Finally, boots that are warm, tall and waterproof! My dog has worn them about four times so far, and they've been great. They stay on and her paws are dry and warm when we get back inside.I'm a big fan of Canada Pooch Soft Shield boots. I will always love them, but they are best in more dry cold conditions and powdery snow. I have been looking for boots that could stand up to slush and deep, wet snow.As soon as you feel these boots, you can tell that the fabric will actually keep water out--it is not merely water resistant, as most dog boots are. They also have a fleece lining that's thick enough to make a difference. The rubber foot/bottom is substantial enough to provide traction and additional waterproofing. The boots are tall and great for deeper snow and puddles.My dog has skinny legs, so I'm still getting the hang of wrapping the boots so they are secure but not too tight or restrictive. I also have to be sure to get her paw properly settled into the foot bed. I love that the boots have a toggle closure at the top as well as two velcro straps. If you have used Soft Shield boots, you know that those features make them easy to get on and stay on.I'm thrilled to have found these and at a reasonable price!
