I have a little trouble setting the times are knowing when they're set. The remote otherwise works and it's meeting our needs. We won't be returning it.

It was working fine. I get the flickering problem most people report as well. One day the remote just stopped being paired to the lights and now I have to manually turn them off and on. The worst part is that now I have no intensity control over them so they’re just 100% bright all the time.

Excellent device for outdoor lighting. Works perfectly. I love that it doesn’t have to be operated with one of those apps where you have to sign away all your privacy rights. Simple and effective and can operate differently for two separate sections of lights or whatever you plug into them.

The unit looks very solid on the outside.Unfortunately the insides of my unit did not work properly.Lights flicker sporadically - not completely out - but noticeable enough to be annoying.Tried different lights and sockets, with remote and without, and always the same flickering result.I will be returning this unit.

We finally bit the bullet and invested in a couple strands of patio lights for the backyard, only problem was that the led bulbs were way too bright! In searching for some sort of dimmer control/switch I found this remote control plug - what a find! It's really upped my backyard experience. I used to scoff at remote controls for every single thing, but this has been incredibly useful. I can be in the kitchen (which overlooks the backyard) and turn the lights on without having to go outside and flip a switch or set a timer. Or I could be in the middle of a backyard get together and be able to turn on the lights after the sun goes down. The dimmer controls are very intuitive and straight forward - the controller allows for several levels of brightness. This is one of those things that I didn't even know I needed, but cannot imagine not having from now on.The controller is very sturdy and feels like it can withstand the elements. It has two outlets on fairly flexible cords so you can plug more in if you want - I *believe* it will only control both outlets at the same time (I am only using one of them). You can also set the lights on a timer, which I'm not doing because it's too fun to be able to control them at will.

Used product for two months, and suddenly one day, two months later, it went dead. There is no info online and no troubleshooting instructions. Cannot return as Return window expired on APR 11. I do not recommend this product AT ALL. Buy at your own risk. -Update: Nearpow customer service reached out to me and replaced the defective Item. I was very impressed with their dedication to making their customers satisfied. Due to this excellent service, I now recommend the product as Nearpow has you covered.

I bought this to replace a dimmer when the remote stopped working. No way to on/off or dim, and no manual controls on the device itself. I thought I’d try this slightly cheaper one, despite the reviews. The timer feature was a selling point. But it didn’t work with my dimmable LED’s, flickering badly at 60 hz, and then going off and then on again every 10 seconds. This clearly needs an improved dimming circuit. So I returned it and spent the extra 10 dollars on the one that didn’t have any reviews mention a flickering problem.

Yule light strings, especially some of the new LED ones, can be obnoxiously bright. This year our red cedar tree was unusually dense and so I put some warm white mini led lights one the interior of the tree thinking the tree would need more light, but also (knowing they were very bright) so they would be masked somewhat, and then put the usual colored led lights on the outside. Still the white lights were way too bright. Then I found this handy gadget and dialed the white lights down to about quarter brightness and "voila", nicely lit tree that didn't look like the swat team was here. Perfect solution.
