I was so excited to have a new tool for cleaning injectors but unfortunately the tool that I ordered is not new and it has been used already- the long adapter hose has injector cleaning fluid when you pressed the schrader valve and corrosion is present on the fittings- smells efi fluid inside the cylinder where you place the efi fluid in- dried coolant residue around the pressure gauge boot- the adapter hose and warning label is dirty/greassy- something inside of the gauge that is loose- the box looks old/dirty and been reused part of the label is torn/missing- the tools inside are all over the place not organized- visble scratches around and corrosion/dirt on the cylinder- the instruction manual is dirty

The tool was easy to use with the help of the instructions the otc manual it also provided a lot of info on different makes and models. The tool never leaked but the only set back that the tool had was the air regulator valve didn’t work efficiently no matter how much I increase the valve it never made enough pressure besides that the tool was okay.

Where to start. I couldn't even connect the main hose as the needle wasn't screwed in all the way. I had to fix that. Second it comes with no adapters so that was another $50 buying one. Third the regulator on the top would not work. I had to remove the large nut on the back and then remove the inner workings, pin and spring, and then hook up the air hose. I had to use the regulator on my air compressor to get it to work. For $300 I should not have to jury-rig it to get it to work. I will never buy OTC again. Cheap garbage.

This is the tool to clean fuel injection systems. It works (connects) with my other fuel pressure test kit and allows the introduction of the fuel cleaner to the fuel rail. If you are a automotive technical you will appreciate the OTC brand.Glad I bought this item

This OTC tool did the job just fine as soon as I got the tool to work. I needed to clean out my car fuel injectors and decarbonize the intake and cylinders too. I first tried to decarbonize the engine where you connect this tool and flow fluid via vacuum to the intake manifold and cylinders. The tool would not pass any fluid and I had to disassemble it piece by piece to find the problem. I found that there is a check valve at the bottom of the cylinder which was stuck closed. I ended up simply pushing a metal rod through the cylinder bottom hole to work it free. After reassembly the tool worked great for decarbonizing and cleaning the fuel injectors. You have to supply your own air quick connect fitting at the air inlet. The tool has a quick connector on the fluid outlet and connectors on each end of the hose. The tool comes with a quick connector to 1/4" FNPT adapter nipple and can probably be rigged up to connect to the engine intake and fuel line, but I bought the OTC 7666 Decarbonizing Adapter to do my work with.

I'm a service technician and we have similar OTC fuel injector kits in our shop. OTC is good stuff for special service tools and they come with a price. Having your own beats looking for the tool or waiting for it. If your like me and have your own fuel fittings for OTC then this tool is the way to go. I had to remove one of the valve cores so the fuel would actually go through. Other than that it works.

I usually like OTC tools. They are well made and usually have their own case. Unfortunately this tool was a big disappointment. I bought it in late November but didn't get a chance to use it until today. It gave me a lot of headaches. First, it does not come with any fuel rail adapters. You must purchase them separately. I bought the OTC Pro 6550 which is made very well. Second, the pressure gauge did not work. It didn't register any pressure below 50psi. No matter how I adjusted the regulator and my compressor it would stay at 0 until it hit 50psi. I had to use the regulator on my compressor to set 30psi for the vehicle I was working on. Third, the Schrader valve on the tubing that is supposed to go into the quick disconnect at the bottom of the canister was not formed properly and wouldn't lock into the quick disconnect. I had to replace it with a Schrader valve from my 6550 kit. I am now waiting to hear if the seller will address my problems with this poorly made tool or if I will have to go to OTC for warranty service, This tool was a surprisingly badly made tool from OTC.

I use Berryman B-12 Chemtool fuel system cleaner with this tool and have had improved performance every vehicle I have used it on. 5 of my own and 7 friends vehicles. The trick is finding the appropriate place to intersect the fuel line. Most can have fuel line disconnected and a hose with hose clamps connected using the slightly lower air pressure to keep the engine running without the fuel regulator by-pass opening sending the fuel system cleaner back to the tank. OTC probably does not condone some of these innovations but the tool works using the included manual. The Berryman cleaner cleans injectors, lines, regulators and valves among other parts. I have done a couple vehicles more than once with notable performance increases.

This tool works great and was easy to use. I used it with the Seafoam product. It says on the can that it can be used in injector cleaning machines. The engine fired right up on the straight seafoam. There are a few youtube videos on how to set everything up. Additional note: On the two cars that I have done so far, I got a check engine light for cylinder miss fire, so be prepared to reset the light when your done.

This is a well made tool i would recommend this tool to everybody execellent tool for the job easy to use for everyone who buys the tool or even thinks about buying the tool you will need to purchase the connectors separately or if you have a fuel pressure gauge setup lying around just take the hose off of it and ad it to the fuel cleaner tool then you are ready to go.

This is a quality tool and seems to be built well. It doesn't come with the cleaner so you have to buy that separate. Since I didn't know this when I purchased it, I found that one of my local auto parts dealers (only one of the national chains carried it) could order it in within 24 hours for a little cheaper than the online price. This tool can be reused many times which really helps since my wife's 2005 Land Rover LR3 has a chronic problem with dirty fuel injectors. I had to purchase a standard air tool connection for the top of this tool in order to hook it to my compressor hose. It doesn't come with it. I also had to purchase a 3/8" brass elbow to a 1/4" fuel hose connection to hook it up to the 1/4" fuel line hose. Otherwise, it came with everything needed (as well as a manual) and worked really well. Sure beats in fuel cleaners for the tough jobs.
