I was hesitant buying these because they're so small. They worked perfectly for hanging crystal snowflakes on my trees. They're so petite but still seem hefty enough to hold on to the branches. I was able to use both ends to hang the ornaments, some of my things are too thick to use the small end.

These are decent little hooks for the price. They can easily hold any lightweight ornament or other such thing. I've also used a few to hold up a very small potted plant, but to be clear, that's multiple of these hooks holding something that's only maybe 4-6x heavier than an average Christmas ornament, so each hook is only doing double duty, at most. (So if you need heavy-duty S hooks, please buy those, not these. These will not hold up serious weight. They are just wire.)Note that these are relatively small hooks. This isn't a pro or con for this item, just an observation. Just be sure you are buying what you want, so that you get what you expected to get. They seem to work well for most ornaments, especially the ones with a bit of string already attached.My only real criticisms are minor inconveniences. First, the color is a bit too light for me. It's almost a strong, light green tint over a metallic gold base. This makes it almost yellowy green. I'd rather have a darker green that blends into a Christmas tree and in any case doesn't stand out quite as much.And second, the silly little issue, the plastic box they come in is nice to have, but they come loose in that box and they will be totally jumbled and hooked together. You just have to be patient and kind of grab the big mass of them and gently shake in your cupped hand(s). They will fall out one by one, and that will get them loose for you to use. (If you don't do this, the lid might not even close -- a jumble of these is easily too thick to close without untangling it.)

Most of the hooks you buy are so flimsey, but these seem stronger. The cost is fair and you get enough for all your ornaments.

Just what I needed, to replace lost hooks... I wasn't sure about the design, but it's really effective at what it's supposed to do -- hold an ornament securely.
