These stocking holders did the job, but in no way looked good doing it haha. BUT - they are exactly as advertised. Very simple, utilitarian stocking holders to get the job done. Removed a star because they definitely don’t feel like they are worth $17. It’s a very simple design and the quality isn’t especially nice, nor are they heavy weight or very sturdy.

For the lightest and smallest of items this may work, but we tried hang a medium sized swag and they always slipped off the mantel, no matter how tightly we tried to secure them. Additionally, the loop at the bottom which is supposed to hold whatever you are supposed to be hanging is way too small for most things.

I was looking for a Christmas stocking holder for my 3-1/2" mantle. This fits perfectly and I believe it won't slip. The true test will come soon when the stocking is full and heavy. I'll try and remember to come back and update my review.

These are nice and slim, which is necessary for the style of mantel I have. That said, they are difficult to fasten so tightly to preventing slipping without stripping out the screws. I’ve got them at a sweet spot where they won’t fall, but I will not be able to fill these stockings with anything or they will fall off. Effective for decorative purposes, I suppose.
