The listing clearly shows the tool components in a foam-lined case. I paid extra for that feature as the tool itself appears to be of similar construction and quality as competitors. Unfortunately, the case was NOT foam lined, but molded as shown. Disappointing. Another purchaser made the same comment, but I figured it was a fluke. I may keep the tool simply out of convenience, but would not buy from this distributor if they cannot/will not sell what they advertise.

As a professional automotive technician who specializes in European vehicles, I am always looking for affordable specialty tools to expand my home collection. When I am at work I have access to higher priced "name brand" equipment.This BMW/MINI camshaft alignment kit is modeled after the equivalent factory tool and works in the same manner. This tool is a necessity for servicing timing chains and cylinder heads on the 4 cylinder "N" engines (and some others). The materials are of excellent quality and will last for many years. This tool is every bit as good as the one I usually use that cost many times more.As usual OMT provides a nice kit at an affordable price. This tool kit is well deserving of 5 stars for it's quality and competitive price tag.

I am a Master Tech, I have been for more than thirty-years. This particular tool has the appearance and bulk of a Snap-on, without that hefty price. I can't say all OMT stuff is at this level, but this one is. My other OMT tools are things like cam holders for valve or timing jobs and so on and I've never been disappointed with any of their tools to date. No, if you need a professional breaker bar, buy a Snap-on, but for these kinds of jobs, save the budget and get these tools as the do the job!

This kit was picked up for working on a 16 Mini Cooper S Roadster (R59). We have had a number of tasks going on with this car, and the kit did what it is intended to do. The locking blocks are solid and maintained the stability of the work. The only want we could have wanted more would have been to include a crank lock that can be applied at the flywheel. This would have been very useful to us as we went onto other tasks. We were working with the engine on a hoist while doing this work. When it came time to align and attach the transmission. If we could have used the kit to lock the flywheel (and thus crank) that would have been a major bonus to do this from the starter area as some vehicles timing kits have this in them.In the end it is decent kit that does the job it is intended to do. I included the most recent list of applications per the manual from the manufacturer. This is a better reference as it is up to date.
