Needed a little tool set for doing some bike repair, and having a small, compact, ratcheting driver for small allen bolts is a LIFESAVER. Even stuff like the bolts for a bottle cage can be a complete pain with a full size allen wrench, so this has come in clutch numerous times. The bits and the ratchet all feel extremely high quality, and there's a huge variety of bits to choose from. The case also feels and looks super nice, and this set would be a perfect gift for any budding craftsperson. The ONLY issue I have with it, is that the case is only closed with magnets. Probably not an issue for most, but I could totally see this thing being knocked over on a desk or bench, hitting the ground, and just spilling the bits EVERYWHERE. Thankfully not an issue so far, and I wouldn't call that a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you're a bit more clumsy than most.

The case is an efficient design that contains the 42 piece set in a very small footprint. I like the simplicity of the magnetic closure and the quicker access it provides. Hopefully it will keep the case closed while its bouncing around in an off road vehicle.Unlike many mini tools that dig into your finger joints and hands, this one is comfortable to hold and work with. The T-handle assists in generating a lot of human torque. The T configuration also keeps the fastener directly under the driver and the user's hand, unlike a ratchet wrench where the hand is at the end of a 90 handle forcing the user into a constant battle to keep the bit or socket on the fastener. The included bits is a useful assortment of commonly used ones along with a couple rarely used but gotta have ones. It's really nice to have the 8 longer bits too. I loosened several tightly seated PH, T, TH and H screws, then tightened them. The bits fit the fasteners tightly and showed no sign of wear.As you can probably tell I like this set and recommend it!

This set is really nice. All the bits are clearly marked, both with text and a color band. Some of my old sets have neither. The ratchet is held together magnetically. The strength of the magnets is medium, which means it holds together well unless a bit gets stuck a screw or something similar. Then you might pull it back without the bit attached. I like the versatility of the ratchet where you can either have a long handle for torque, a two-sided handle for leverage. or a small handle with a long bit. It really fits to most purposes. It is also fairly small and doesn't take up too much storage space. This is pretty nice little kit.

The actual tools are great and very versatile. It's a very comprehensive set for the size of the case. I guess keeping the case size small (which is very handy, since it fits in a glove compartment) is the reason the design results in the individual pieces on the bottom being subject to coming out of their slots. It's not a deal breaker, it's just means that the user is going to have to be aware and careful to not have the pieces falling out, something that may be hard to sustain over the life of this tool set.

**Background:** I'm a lifelong tinker taking things apart, putting things back together fixing them figuring out how they work after they're dead. I'm also responsible for assembling anything we purchased that needs "some assembly required". Sometimes I don't want to dig out the electric tools, or I want to be a little more delicate and have control yet power. And a tool kit like this is perfect so that is why I ordered it.**Build Quality first impression :** Spoiler alert I really liked this product, but I have to start with the thing I like least. The it the case, it's not a dealbreaker, but I was hoping for something nicer and more secure. The longer bits were loose then they arrived. The clamping mechanism is not strong enough for the pits. They stay in put with a moderate amount of shaking but heavy duty jostling and those longer bits are all over the place. I would not put this in my travel tool bag or my jump bag/road trip. The lid on the case is also magnetic there's no physical lock. This is a double edge sword. It's nice that there's no little piece of plastic to break off when you manhandle it and put the magnetic closure is not as strong as I would hope so again if it's not securely placed, it could pop open and those bits that could come loose might go everywhere. The shorter bits are locked in pretty good so it's just an issue with the long bits and it does take quite a bit of force. The other thing is the cases larger than I expected and I definitely have seen more compact cases but then it's also much harder to get the bits in and out particular if you have big hands or arthritic hands. The bits themselves are actually nice quality and are definitely hardened and should last a decent amount of time. Also, the shorter bits are clearly labeled and they come color-coded. I think it's a reasonable set of bits to cover a lot of different jobs. The only thing would've been nice is for redundancy for the most common bits. Now the star of this kit is the ratchet and it doesn't disappoint. It's set up as a T ratchet with two removable arms. They are held by magnets and they're easily removed so you can turn this into a longer extension or completely move both arms so you kinda have a stubby T ratchet. And then you could take all three and make a long bit driver. It's super versatile and should cover 95% of your driver needs assuming you have the right bit.Ratchet mechanism itself is smooth and seems robust. I crank down on some screws and didn't feel like the ratchet was being overstressed. I would've liked more teeth in the ratchet. I think this is only 58 teeth. But the action is pretty good and tight for 58. A 92 ratchet would put this thing over the top, but that's on my wish list. And again not a dealbreaker. The ratchet is all metal. No cheap plastic feel even the change in direction lever is metal. The bits were not magnetized, the main bed holder is magnetic enough for the short bits, but when you use the longer bits, there is a lack of magnetic power. You can magnetize the longer bits.** Function:** I really like the way this functions when have it set up as a T handle it's super balanced, which makes it really easy to quickly unscrew or screw. Whatever you're working on in the balance help you apply extra torque without the bit jumping. If you've never used a T- handle tool it's hard to explain. But then you can quickly take one of the sides and add it to the other side and it becomes more like a traditional ratchet. Oh, there is a little piece that sticks out that may be a clearance issue in some situations, but then you can use all the two sides and the long center extension to reach those deeper screws. The bit themselves are really nice and feel hardened. The color coating also is nice to help. Keep track of things when you've got multiple bits out. The short bits are really easy to get in and out but once you close the case, they stay in place really well. The longer bits as I explained above is a little bit of an issue.I really like this bit set. I think it's perfect for around the house for simple jobs there are some potential drawbacks of the case but those same properties may actually make it super convenient for around the house. I just don't think it's a travel case. So as long as you understand that I think this is a five star tool set.
