This thing worked as described. I’ve tried all different kind of things to work with Samsung TVs and ARC when the amplifier is in a different location. The Samsung was able to recognize the Sonos amp using this device. It worked great. So just to confirm, Samsung TV using a Sonos amplifier about 100 feet away with some overhead ceiling speakers using the ARC.

Worked as described. Price at a large box store was $300.00. So, excellent value.

Exactly what I was looking for. It made hooking up my TV to my external speaker a breeze. Highly recommend.

Works great and more consistent than most hdmi cables I've used for ARC and ends up being cheaper on the long runs.I wish one end was PoE so you don’t have to find 5V power on both sides.

Excelente . IMPORTANTE,usen Cat6, de otra forma no funciona .

Please don't mislead amazon customers. Your product does not even work optical to optical using Cat5e. Amazon states cat5e but your video states it only works over cat 6 or cat 7. Lots of hours wasted over your misleading product.I can get this $16.00 product to work on amazon over Cat5e.Optical-to-Coaxial OR Coaxial-to-Optical Digital Audio Converter, $16.00 on amazonTerrible. don't buy if you have cat5e.

I recently completed splicing RJ45 Cat5E cables to install a new product in my home entertainment setup. Initially, I was skeptical about whether everything would function correctly due to the complexity of configuring the cables alongside the settings on both my TV and AV system. My television and AV receiver both support eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), while this device I installed only supports ARC (Audio Return Channel). Additionally, I utilized HDMI 2.1 cables for this setup. Despite these potential compatibility issues, everything appears to be functioning well. The cable run was 50 feet, and the wires were pre-installed in the house I purchased. Although I wish I had opted for Cat6 or better cabling for enhanced performance, my current setup is working satisfactorily so far. Seems to be much better then my previous digital coaxial cables I was using before.

Have a tv and receiver that don't play nice together via hdmi ARC (numerous random audio dropouts, regardless of cable). Tried various other options available on amazon but there was always some fatal flaw... until this solution. Quick setup, CEC works flawlessly, and NO AUDIO DROPOUTS! Happy camper!
