Lo use para conectar una TV con salida coaxial digital a una barra de sonido con entrada optica, funcionò perfectamente bien, incluso el autoencendido de la barra funciona al encender la TV.

Powered via USB, this works exactly as described and more importantly, as needed by me. An invaluable, well made (all steel/aluminium) piece of hardware that introduces no perceptible noise/hum/interference to the conversion process of optical to coax. Quite the lifesaver, actually.

Unreliable and poor quality control. Worked during the first day of use but the digital converter creating occasional digital clicking or popping noise once every 10 seconds. The following day, the unit stopped working all together. Did the usual tech troubleshooting such as power down / up the converter box, changed all cables, tried different digital equipment, etc.. All points to a defective unit. Going back to Amazon.Looking for something else more reliable.

I route mixdown audio to my primary and secondary monitors through a Presonus Central Station, which is hooked up to my interfaces (MOTU 24Ai AVB) via TOSLink. After a recent move, the TOSLink input failed on the Central Station, and I needed to keep working while trying to track down the correct part to make a repair (if it's even possible for an end-user to source). Since the Tendak converter is only a few dollars more than most TOSLink input ports on Digikey/Mouser, I decided to take the risk to see if it would be a good interim solution. It worked flawlessly right out of the box, with no obvious jitter, clock, or latency issues. I'm sure there's some latency in there, but I certainly didn't notice it and didn't feel the need to measure. I'm typically running at either 24/48 or 24/44.1 rates. I also tested at higher sample rates. 24/88.2 and 24/96 played fine. I didn't get sound with 24/176.4 or 24/192, but I can't say definitively where the issue was since I never use those rates. Frankly, if you're running at those rates most of the time, you're probably not looking at this converter anyway.Build quality is solid. The housing is metal. It comes with the appropriate USB cable, and the unit is happily powered off one of my Anker USB 10-port hubs. If I could do fractional ratings, I'd deduct a quarter-star because the spring for one of the TOSLink port doors was missing, and the door, while present, moves freely. If I were purchasing this for use in a mobile toolbox, I'd definitely be contacting the vendor for a replacement, but since it's pretty much a permanent installation, it's not a big deal. The port with the spring in it seems very solid, though.Bang for buck, this device is a good buy. Audio quality is identical to what I had with a direct TOSLink connection, and that's the important thing.

Our main TV is a non-4K TCL that we've had for about 4 years. The TV itself is fine, the only issue is that when I bought a Vizio soundbar, the TV doesn't have an optical out OR a 3.5mm headphone/aux out so there was no way to connect the soundbar. It has an SPDIF out. So I ordered an SPDIF digital coax cable and this converter box. It took about 2 minutes to set up and I was happy that it worked like it was supposed to. No issues with sound quality, it's tiny and unobtrusive, and does the job.

I bought this because my mixer doesn't have enough SPDIF optical inputs. There were several converters available but I chose the Tendak unit because the photos did not have an LED power indicator. However, once I received the unit, I was disappointed to find a very bright LED sticking out above the power port. And that LED is very, very bright. Luckily, the build quality of the unit is very good. The painted metal casing is easy to open (only two screws) and the LED was easily bent away from the mounting hole, and the hole covered with tape. The unit gets power from a USB-A to micro USB-B cable (included in the box) which means I can use a computer or an AC to DC adapter to power it.The sound quality is very good. I could not hear any difference between just using optical or converting optical to coax. They both sounded exactly the same, as they should. Also, I could not perceive any latency cost for the signal conversion. If there is any latency, it is likely below 2ms, which is perfect for my needs.Minus one star for the LED, but I would still recommend this product. Hopefully it lasts a long time. If it dies, I will update my review.

I just received this today and installed so can't provide a longevity report. My AV setup is in a large state of mods and needed one more Toslink (three total) connection to be temporarily operational. I have two coax connections on the AV receiver not being used so this relatively inexpensive Toslink/coax-Toslink-coax adapter is a winner so far. I simply set the adapter's input switch to Toslink, installed the cable and installed the coax cable on the other end which runs to the receiver. Worked immediately with the Blu-Ray player. Simply plug and play. The instructions state either input type (toslink or coax) will enable both outputs simultaneously, but I have not tested. The overall external construction is very good quality with a metal box instead of the typical plastic boxes on most small electronic things of this type.

I previously had to older top-of-the-line Logitech speaker system which interfaced to up to 3 computers. Since I have 4 computers at my desk (and use a KVM switch, meaning that they all can share the same keyboard, monitor, and mouse, when the old sound system finally died I stated looking for replacement. As I was very disappointed with the selection, I decided to use the same speakers (I had to replace the sub-woofer) and use a multimedia receiver instead (the deciding factor was that the receiver cost about half what the alternative "computer sound system" did). This was an improvement since I could now route the audio from all four systems into the "sound system," but I was left with a small problem. I now needed 2 coax SPDIF lines and 2 optical - but I had 4 computers which had only optical SPDIF output. So I bought two of these toslink converters, and they work perfectly - optical output(s) from 2 computers get converted to coax, and everything worked perfectly on the first try.I have already recommended this device to a friend who has/had the same problem, and I would not hesitate to buy another of these if I needed it.Definitely recommended
